Cup My dog is a kleptomaniac.

Lola's constantly stealing stuff and hiding under the table with it. Sometimes she chews it but a lot of times she just carries it. Her favorite thing to steal is my schrunchi, followed closely by paper. She'll even take stuff out of bags, including my grandmom's purse.

I was using treats to lure her out, but that doesn't work so well anymore.

She also loves to steal my coffee. She checks the end table for it at least 20 times a day. If she gets it she'll quickly gulp down as much as she can.
The funniest part is she'll check other glasses with water or iced tea, but she won't drink it.
She's our second coffee stealing yorkie.
*I know coffee isn't good for dogs, I don't let her have it but sometimes she gets a few drinks*

Eeek, make sure you watch her carefully. I wouldn't like the idea of her going into your Gmas purse.. As well as getting your hair band.. Puppies love to chew, and will usually swallow. Also watch her if she is going into bags.. Like plastic..Thats very dangerous for a little one.

I would also make sure she doesn't get into any coffee.. Puppies are fast, smart and sneaky- please always have an eye on her.

My scrunchies are big and mine dont chew on them, they throw them up and catch them and play tug of war.

Allie doesn't drink out of our cups, but she loves to lick the condensation off the outside. Noah and Westley love crushed ice and its like puppy crack to them.

None of mine steal things, but Westley loves to hide and I swear he's laughing while we run around looking all over for him- he watches and laughs....because he's always somewhere within plain view!

I doubt a few laps of coffee is going to hurt her every once in a while. In fact, if I drank coffee and any of mine liked it, I might be tempted to put a little in a bowl with a lot of milk and let them have their coffee while I had mine.

mine are little sneaky thieves! I have to hide my purse on the kitchen table to keep them out of it. All 4 of mine managed to get on my coffee table the other day and shred 100$ I had sitting up there.. I was only out of the room for 3 min. I give them ice cubes when I have them outside when its really hot. They act like crack addicts to them! I even have one that loves to stick his face in the water bowl. Socks are their favorite thing to sneak. I have to buy new ones every month. They don't take my moms or dads socks.. just mine lol Im thinking its the colors though! LOL! I have 4 yorkies and a sheltie, so its like watching a bunch of kids at my house.

Red face

Lol My bulldog tries to steal my diet coke's. Hopefully my yorkie won't pick up her bad habits. Those scrunchies are a bit of a hazard though. Your pup may chew through the fabric and get to the elastic part. I'm a worrier lol. I wouldn't worry about the paper much...perhaps the dyes in it though.

Henri was quite the little theif too for a while, he has grown out of it though.
He liked to steal paper, flip flops, pens, underwear, socks, my phone, old stuffed animals, anything. I still to this day don't know how he got that stuff, I am very careful with him and always check to make sure there is nothing he can get that he isn't supposed to have. These little babies are sneaky things!

Gracie has had the same "problem" since she was a puppy. We had to puppy proof the whole place because she would also steal out of waste baskets, purses, closets, etc. I used to always be so fearful that she would choke on something she found. Oh, and she would get up on the furniture and search the end tables and coffee table for things she might want.

She doesn't chew as much as she used to but certain things like the elastic scrunchies that my daughter uses on her hair she just loves to bite apart. Once she has bit through it she is done with it. She also loves to steal tissues. If a scrunchie gets left on the bathroom vanity, one of the cats will play with it and knock it on the floor so Gracie then grabs it and does her thing. I often wonder if the cats are trying to do her in.

We watch her very carefully, the bad stuff she gets is very short lived. It's obvious when she has something she shouldn't because she runs very fast under the table.

The main problem is stuff she finds on the floor, such as a single piece of hair, a little nub from a plastic price tag holder, etc. She should be a vacuum tester.

I'm trying to train my grandmom to keep her purse up. We've spent the past 15 years with dogs who didn't chew anything and now we have one who chews everything.

Most of the time when she gets into a bag it's when something was just bought. Like if grocery bags are on the floor she'll try to poke her head in them to see what she can get, especially the receipt.

The hair band is the kind with fabric around it. She actually tries to pull it out of my hair. The only time she gets it is if I forget and set it down while I'm doing my hair, or if she sneak attacks me.

We've also left stuff on the couch while she was sleeping, to do something quickly 5ft away, and before we get back she'll have stolen something and ran under the table.

The amount of coffee she gets is minimal, maybe an ounce every other week. She makes at least 10 attempts a day to get while it's actually on the table and succeeds about every 10 days.
She's very brazen about it, it doesn't matter if I'm sitting there, she'll dive across my lap for it.
The other coffee drinking yorkie got a lot more coffee than she does.

Lola is an ice addict too, if you get ice you have to give her some. Even if she doesn't want it at the moment you have to give it to her so she can reject it.

The hide and seek bit is very cute I'm sure it is on purpose.

Omg, that's terrible!!
I told my grandmom about that to try to get her to keep her purse up and she said 'o well, I'll just take it to the bank, they already know I'm not swift.'

I'm glad to hear Henri and Gracie grew out of some of the chewing, hopefully she will too.
She also likes to steal flip flops, it's funny because the shoe is as big as she is.

If you have the bill even in pieces as long as you have 2/3 of the bill you can go to a bank and it can be exchanged. If it too mutilated that not more then a half or requires special examination to determine its value. It must be mailed or personally delivered to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. You need to include a letter stating the value of the currency and an explanation of how the currency became mutilated.

The only things Rufus steels are Nena's toys
Nena loves used tissues
She waits until we fall asleep to walk around the room looking for them.
She brings them to her bed and licks and shreds them.
She knows she´s not allowed to, when I see tissues in her bed, I ask who grabbed the tissues and she lowers her head
