| ![]() Cookie is a barker, but not to any kind of annoying level. More like barking when we play or when she sees our neighbor's cat or when she's getting a treat (most of the time the treat is just her kibble, but she loves to be fed it like a treat; Minnie was exactly the same way).

| ![]() Abby rarely barks. Sometimes she will bark when she hears me come home, but that's about it. She alerts at noises and runs to the door if someone knocks, but doesn't bark. We have dogs behind us that bark all the time, but she ignores them. |

| ![]() Lexi is 7 months and only barks when she wants us to play with her (She is saying Mommy and Daddy get on the floor and play with me!). Other than that she is a very quiet well behaved little girl. Even when someone rings the bell she doesn't join in with my Chihuahua (at least not yet)! |

| ![]() Zoey more of the barker than Magnus. She barks at everyone/thing except for my parents and myself. She even barks at family members that visit often but settles down faster than she would with strangers. She will go into crazy mode if she sees any dog come too close. Magnus on the other hand will bark if he wants to play and you're not paying attention to him. He also feels he's entitled to some sort of acknowledgement from ANYONE that walks by where ever we go. He gets very upset when he doesn't get petted and barks his head off... |

| ![]() Thanks for all for your input. I will be just fine either way. I was just taken back because she is not vocal whatsoever when these little guys are known to be little yappers. It could ever well be she is still too young.

| ![]() I wouldn't say Draco is that much of a barker. At home the only time he barks is when I leave wooden door open but not the screen door because I'm checking the mail or taking out the trash and he wanted to come. He doesn't barker when I leave for good though and lock up. He does this little yelps/low barks when he's playing or trying to get my attention but it's not constant. Other than that he's pretty quiet. The only time he got really yappy was when my I was at my moms and her friend visited with her dog. He wanted to play but she got tired of him after a while lol.

| ![]() Billi is mostly quiet... She might give a protective bark or two when Mick comes home at night, but stops quickly when she see's who he is or when I tell her "enough". Unfortunately we live with Mick's daughter's dog who's a pomeranean named Martini & she barks constantly! She's gone off on 10 minute long barking sprees just because Mick farts too loud (I guess it's funny now, but at the time! ![]()

![]() That sounds like Ichabod, he's fearless, but, big enough (at 8 lbs) to actually do something if he caught anyone. ![]() I don't' know if you're actually interested... But you need to teach him to "speak" first. Then when he goes to the door, give him the command, and praise him when it's performed properly. For some Dogs, it's like any other Trick, and can be quite a valuable "tool". I rely very heavily on the security my animals provide for me. ![]()

| ![]() Some of mine are real barkers and some are not. My 14 year old Sassy mainly barks in the morning to wake us up. As soon as the sun comes up if we are not already up she will sure let us know that it is time to get up. Some of my others bark when they think they have a reason, like if they see a cat walking around in the yard. They love looking out the windows for activity outside. Of course if anyone knocks on the door they all go nuts.

| ![]() Amy does bark but she is more of a talker. When she wants attention or has to go outside she will sit in front of you and talk up a storm. Can't even explain the noise she makes but she keeps getting louder if you ignore her. It is sort of like arararar. It is very comical but she does get her point across. |
