Crap, I forgot that you all were not asking me to do a summary report. You were asking me "how" I plan to resolve the issue.

This is what I am starting with:

* I started last night with the pennies in a plastic bowl along with a firm no. Sabu jumped the first time he heard that noise. (I dare not snicker or chuckle).

* Yesterday, I started to separate them. It has certainly helped the situation. *wink*

* Petco Purchases: "No Bark Spray", "Bark Control" or "Stop That" along with belly bands.

NOTE: When I've exhausted most of the suggestions that have been offered to me, I may have to sign up for a "private session" at Petco with both Julie and Sabu.

I am creating a blog (a condensed version) which will state my problem, the suggestions offered to me and what I'm currently doing to correct Sabu from humping Julie.

Just returned from Petco. I'll list what I discovered upon your recommendations for a spray product:

No Bark and Bark Control - They would not recommend what I wanted to use it for (the big "H").

Spray That: I purchased one bottle. QUESTION: How is it used/applied?

When your dog does a behavior you want to stop (like barking, jumping, humping, etc.) give the command "stop it" or NO, or whatever you choose, and give one short blast from the can within a few feet of him (not on him).

The sound of the compressed air will startle him and some sprays also include a scent of pheramones that is calming. It will likely scare both of them, and hopefully distract him from his naughty behavior.

Once he stops, you can tell him to come, sit, and receive praise or a treat if you wish.

I tried this for my barkers, and was amazed how they stopped, and sat quietly after that. Now I don't even have to spray it, I just say quiet, and show them the can. It is much quieter around here now.

I didn't read all of the posts here, so not exactly sure what advice you have received. Jack and Izzy will lick where I feel they are not supposed to and when I catch them in the act, I correct them or distract them with a toy. Good luck and I know, it is embarrassing.

Question if I may, would you tell me how your little boy dog spend his day? How much time does he spend on each part of his life, how much crate/pen time, out walking, etc., including sleep time? In other words, what are his day and evening typically like?

As far as the correction then reward it is best to find something you want Sabu to do instead. Lets say that is go to his "place"(like a bed or crate).
Teach him place before hand giving him treats and telling him to go there random times. Watch him for cues he is about to be 'naughty' and start correction as soon as you see the first sign.
Correct him with the noise or 'no', and tell him to go to his 'place' if he goes give him a tasty treat and praise once he does what you want him to do.
Correction or punishment is only half the equation, Sabu needs to know what you want from him. He needs to learn he can not 'play' with Julie this way. Hope that helps.

I'm not sure how the belly band is suppose to help. Can someone explain that please? I'm curious and it doesn't seem fair to that the OP buy stuff all that stuff at once.
