| Lump at vaccination site?!!! Martini got her 2nd 9 way on Thursday and this morning I noticed a lump above her shoulder blade I've pressed on it and moved it around and she didn't even flinch ot make a sound. I called the vet because i was going to take her in NOW, but the vet said it can wait until Tuesday when she goes back for her rabies. ( they wanted to break up the vaccines because of her size). Has anyone had this problem after a vaccine? I'm freaking out I'm thinking the worst tha my baby has a tumor or something ( |

| To give you a little more info.. Yes it is normal, just watch it- make sure it doesnt get any bigger. You can also do a warm compress to help it go down. You can also rub it to help as well. Peanut always gets them, Anytime I can I just play with it ( usually when he sleeps on me) it really helps it go down faster!!

Personally for me rubbing it helps more than the compress, but worth a try- each dog is different. See what works well with this one, her getting a lump this time should mean she will get one the next.

| How did she do with her vaccines? It is great your Vet is spliting them up. Peanut has horrible alergic reactions with vaccines, esp the Rabies! He has to go in and get them, they give him the benadryl before hand.

| She has done well with everything, the 2 9 ways she was very tired and pathetic the rest of the day, and sore when u picked her up at the injection site for a day or so. But no reactions , I even waited in the office 30 mins after the first 9way because they wanted to make sure she got no hives or fever or throwing up but she's been great. I hope she does well with the rabies, she will finally be DONE and I can let her run free in the grass like the little bunny rabbit she is lol |

| Our vet gives the rabies shot on the 4th rib on the right and always tells you so if you feel the marble sized lump you know what it is. Abby had hers 10 days ago and still has a fingertip sized knot there. |

You might also try rubbing some hydrocortisone cream on the area to help with inflammation.

That’s good, sometimes those vaccine reactions are scary. Being that she was tired and sore is a reaction that she had- very mild so that’s good. With the rabies she will more than likely act the same, I have noticed Peanut being more sore with rabies, more sleepy- so just watch her- let her sleep it off. Yeay! I know it seems like forever you have to wait, but in the end it is worth it. She will be free as a bird, her adventures will be limitless!

| Sorry - just a quick ask? Was your Littlie micro-chipped at the same time? It's just that Harry had a little 'wandering lump' when that was done with his first jabs..... That, too, felt like a little bit of rice in his gorgeous little body..... Sally + Harry x |

| Teegy got a lump when my vet vaccinated and it was on the bone, I asked about it and was told sometimes they scratch or inject on the bone and it would go down eventually, took a few weeks, I wasn't very pleased about that |
