I'm right there with you guys, I'm 56 years old and yes things were very different back then growing up, no locks on the doors, you could and did trust your neighbors to watch out for each other. Tragic, really, the way things have taken such a drastic change for the bad. |

Yep, I'm there with all of you, too! I'm 51 and I remember all of those great times. Back then the term "it takes a village..." was really taken to heart. It's sad that our generation has seen things spiral out of control like they have. |
We always locked our doors and had a shotgun in the closet. That was the good area. |

That's the way it was at our house, guns were used to hunt...and we ate what we killed. No "sport" about it, just a way of life/survival. |

Its just something I feel the need to do and I don't care what anyone thinks about it. I would expect their parents to do the same. I don't get when people say "its not my place". Well when will it be, when its too late and you saw something that could have been the turning point in a young persons life and didn't speak up. But that's just me and my obsession of mothering of others peoples children. |
Just wondering how things are going...still quiet on the home front? |
Yes it is still quiet, Thank The Lord! DH put up a privacy fence addition where ours on the side did not go in the back between him and us. Now he can't see into our yard any more, that has helped I think. However, Having the authorities involved arrested the situation the most I believe. |
Good to hear...hope it continues for your sake and the sake of your babies... |
