Actually, you ARE saying your dog's age in human years. In dog years she would be about 40-42. 7 dog years=1 human year.

Thanks. She was being particularly good that day. Usually when we eat al fresco she screams at the top of her lungs. She got a lot of cabbage and bits of bread that day.

And that's all I'm saying! Your Tatiana is smaller and as healthy as could be! There ARE healthy tinies. And as far as the word teacup I guess it just means different things to everyone as well. But this goes back to my original statement...what would Tatiana be considered then if we went by saying standard is 5-7 lbs

But that's not the standard! The standard is not to exceed 7 pounds so we don't have to worry about that. No one is saying EVERY tiny pup is sick we are saying tiny pups from bad breeders who claim to breed teacup are the ones who are normally sick.

Before the "standard" was changed what would you refer a smaller pup as? Okay but I also never said get your smaller dog from a bad breeder!

Honestly, when people in normal life say 'teacup' it doesn't really bother me anymore. It's just something that people are using to describe a smaller sized dog and they just simply don't know. And typically it's not worth explaining.

And I have NEVER heard the word 'teapot' used in real life. It's a TOTAL joke lol. And to be honest, I've seen people state on here "oh your dog is a teapot" in a serious post and that kind of annoys me too because new people that come on here will probably think it's a real thing, haha. I would never say to someone who asks 'oh, he's a teapot yorkie'. hahaha.

I get the size thing to a point. I personally will never own a dog under 10-12lbs. It's just not my thing. But I understand some love having these tiny dogs. To me it's just a matter of safety. If you are seeking out a dog that grows no bigger than 3lbs, honestly just get a guinea pig.
