Firstly, I would not consider getting a new puppy until this is all resolved....how do you know that your 'ex-friend' won't do exactly the same again?!!? Secondly - I would find myself a very good solicitor - you're probably entitled to Legal Aid due to your on-going health issues (physical I mean ) Thirdly - please take The 4 M's advice....if need be have a look around The Police Federation's website. If there's anything you can take photos of then please do so....smashed pots, windows, faces, anything. YOU NEED SOME HARD EVIDENCE NOW. Do you have your pups pedigrees or registration documents? I didn't see if you can get to the police station. Is there some physical circumstances that's keeping you from going to the police? If you're able to get out- do what Harrysmum said- get all the evidence, your dogs shot records, registration papers, pictures, witnesses, calls to your mobile...hospital records and dates of the calls you've made to them and take ALL that stuff to them. File a complaint against them if they won't listen, just keep bothering them until the police threaten you. Then call a television station, and file a complaint against the police officers involved. I would not let this go, nor would I stay quiet about it. I'm from the USA- we fight government officials here when we have our rights violated.( theft, home invasion, threats, bodily being attacked, police saying your mentally challenged instead of doing something to help are all against your rights as a citizen! Here they are anyhow...)

Senior Yorkie Talker | I'm really confused with pet logs lack of well.. anything. All my 4 are chipped and registered with pet log and I don't want to even think of it but... if anything happened to them, and they were scanned I thought it would be automatic that they would be returned to me, or what is the whole idea of having them chipped? Think on my days off work may look into what they do? or what would happen in certain situations, just for my own piece of mind Harrysmum, is your Harry registered with pet log? don't know of any other companies that are involved with chipping in the UK

| I would totally agree with making a complaint against the police for there lack of action. They are required to respond to all phone calls and especially in cases of where a possible assault has taken place. If as I think you say you have an illness or disability that stops you going to them, then you would be classed as a "vulnerable person" so even more reason to call out to you. Theft of a dog is still a criminal offence as are threats against a person and criminal damage to property. Please contact your local MP as well or if you prefer maybe an advocacy group to act on your behalf. The Citizens advice bureau will also help and put you in touch with the right people. Please do this ASAP and I'm sure you will get your babies back. Your vet should be able to back up any ownership issues as well. If you need to talk, pm me and I will pass you my number and see what I can do to help, I am in London but am originally from southport and worked for mersey side police as a civilian. I really hope you can do this and get your dogs back where they belong x
