| I know several male yorkie owners from the dog park. I think it shows that a man is secure in his manhood to walk a froo froo dog

| Though my Minnie was a female, she was about as far from the stereotypical girly small dog as one can get. E.g., she was always catching birds, fighting cats who roamed the neighborhood, liked running, digging in the yard, play-fighting (at 11-12 lbs too small to really wrestle though), and all other kinds of fun things. Just a really athletic dog; her vertical was more than 2 1/2 feet before she started getting old. I had the same kind of concerns and always had large dogs in the past (e.g., two Afghans, a Doberman, and a Mastiff), but frankly, my yorkie Minnie was a lot more fun and a lot funnier, and I think it's likely my next dog will be a yorkshire terrier also (Minnie just died 2 weeks ago). Just very affectionate and a lot of fun to spend time with. Last edited by yorkiefan_; 06-02-2013 at 01:55 AM. |

| We adopted our little Milo two months ago after I had a tough time convincing DH that a Yorkie was what we needed---he was leaning toward another mini-Schnauzer. He has definitely fallen in love with our little guy & now, if he was in better health, I believe he just might get another one. He's 6'6", weighs 240 lbs & all man. Tell your friend to go with his feelings---not what other people think. I agree that it would definitely be a Chick Magnet----if I were in the market! |

| But I do believe it's easier to have a masculine Yorkie also. I can walk Moki around with a sweater but dunno about a dress?? I like the tough type. The ones who like to play and watch Football. http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f9.../Dog/001-7.jpg http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f9...g/Mokihawk.jpg http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f9...psd0ba2bce.jpg |

| Moki is a guy dog. He watches Football, UFC or at least hangs out with the guys. He's a man dog. He never goes where the ladies are...We much have better snacks. Really he is my dog. Ever other dog I've had was a mama boy. This one is definitely Daddy's dog. if you friend shaves him pretty much they are lower maintance then with long hair. And Yorkies are smart and make the best companions for everyday relaxing. Easy to play with or get them to exercise. |

| There's a guy in out Yorkie meetup who has two girls. He always has them in matching dresses and has their top knot in a pony tail. It's awesome ha ha. He adores them.
