| Dunno. You have to be a "Real" man to work in my Office http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f9...ps8cfbf20e.jpg I tell you this much Moki or any little dog will always break the ice if your "looking" I like Yorkies because they have good personality While me a Moki just came back from a 2 hr easy Hike by the river. All he can handle. Work days I'm tired to be to active and he's just happy in the house. Your lifestyle needs to match the dog to have a happy dog IMO. |

| Thanks all for your opinions and information. He's going to make an account so he can do a lot more reading about Yorkies. You all definitely made him not worry about the masculine side of it, and he says when he has his career in order and a nice place he's going to start looking for a Yorkie of his own

| Interesting. How many of you actually know a guy that owns a yorkie? Real life here, not online, or celebrities, but actually know a guy who is the owner of a yorkie? My uncle is the only guy I know. But yorkies are all that anyone on that side of my family has ever had. No other dogs, no cats, just yorkies. Outside of him, I know no other male yorkie owner.

| my husband walks our two yorkies everywhere, takes them in the car with him, carries them around the house. which is funny sometimes because he comes home from work with his cop uniform on walking around with these yorkies in his hands. I see lots of guys with small dogs and I think its great!

| I have to agree with everyone else, if anything it will draw women to him and you should always choose the dog that fits your lifestyle. Any man can own a large dog but seeing one with a little dog just melts my heart. I think a real man is confident in who he is and doesn't let the size or breed of dog effect his ego or masculinity.

| When we go to pet expos my dad LOVES to take Callie in her stroller and push her around while me and my mom shop and look at things because all the women come up and talk to him. I think it would show he is secure with himself like a man who wears a pink shirt.

| I am male and have a Yorkie. It was mine and my ex wife's but I ended up with the dog because she neglected it. And I do not regret it for a moment. I live in Redneck Central, Canada (Edmonton, Alberta) and walk her 3-4 times a day. I have only had a few smart comments all directed towards the dog, not me. Personally I don't care. I love my dog, she makes me happy, and I am a dog lover in general no matter what breed or size. My girlfriend was at a gas station a few weeks ago and an obnoxious, lifted diesel truck pulled up with a trailer in tow. She said a big burly guy got out and she saw a little Yorkie sitting in the cab on the console lid. She waited for him to come out of the gas station to ask about the dog, and sure enough, it was his companion and he brought her to work with him all the time. That is awesome! I think a true dog lover doesn't care. It is a dog. Just a smaller one. Plus, females love them. So if your friend is single, it could work out well. |

| I think we have several male Yorkie owners here on YT. I don't personally know any - except my husband, of course He will tell you and anyone listening that (although she was a present for our anniversary), Mandie is ALL HIS!! This will be a good way for your friend to screen potential love interests. If she loves him AND his Yorkie - she's a keeper!
