In my opinion a $550 re homing fee is ridiculous ! Especially for a 10 month old pup who may or may not be purebred and is not fixed. Good luck with whatever choice you make but if it were me I would pass.

I agree...also for myself, I wouldn't be breeding without researching so many things.

I Wuv Yorkies, I got your message and followed your link to this thread, but there's no way I can look at these photos and confirm this Biewer is purebred. I don't know enough about the Biewer to make a visual confirmation, and I would never mislead you by guessing. However, I can sincerely share with you that I would not be interested in purchasing her if I "maybe" would consider breeding.

I think you've been on YT long enough to have stumbled across numerous threads with experienced Breeders explaining the many "do's" and "do nots" of a successful breeding program. If not, search. You will greatly benefit from their knowledge.

Now, on the other hand, if you like this little girl and you're prepared to pay the price without any health guarantee, buy her. She needs a loving furever home and hopefully we will never see her on Craigslist again.

I agree. I've done this before. I've seen a yorkie on a craigslist ad and they noted in the sales ad where they had gotten the yorkie. I emailed the breeder and sent her the link to the sales ad.

That's great you take the time to do this. If nothing else it tells you breeder that they need to be more careful when choosing a home. I know in Joey’s contract, I wasn’t even allowed to rehome Joey without the breeder’s permission, and the breeder can claim back a dog, if this was in the contract. In the meantime people can get very attached, but have no legal rights to the dog.

You guys I am just looking for a yorkie puppy female to add to the family and I haven't been that lucky. There's no breeders out here near me. And if I like one from someone that ships its to expensive. I paid 350 for Kudos. Shipping is always 300 and the pup is like 600 or more which leads to 900 and that's a lot. I'm just running out of ideas and thinking that my family and I cant get another yorkie. Also my mom likes the Biewer and wants a Biewer. I'm so stressed.

Buying or adopting the dog is the cheapest part of dog ownership. If you can't afford to pay to get the dog, then that means you can't afford the dog. Just bc a dog is cheap to get doesn't mean it's going to be trouble free forever. There's a reason why it's cheaper.

That being said, for a rehome, $550 is steep, esp for a dog that might not even be pure!

Also breeding is expensive. If you can't afford the dog, how can you afford to breed? If she needs an emergency c-section, that's $2000 right there. If you don't get it done, the girl can die. Also you say you wn't sell the pups, but keep them for yourselves. Bringing up pups is expensive also.

Listen, I know you are young, and you are here to learn. But please try to reconsider, and tell your mom. Sometimes the children are smarter than their parents in certain aspects. Maybe you can educate your mother?

Did you read my other post about male dogs after they have been bred? Their personality changes. They run away to look for females in heat. Their pee smells stronger, they mark everything. Kudos won't be your little puppy anymore, he will become a working dog.
