| If I am understanding this so far, the breeder still has Joey and he has stabilized???..If that is the case, let her keep him....whatever she is doing is working apparently! If it is just that the baby needs to be fed every hour or two, around the clock, let the breeder do this...if she can keep him alive, this is great! Let her deal with whatever is causing what is going on with the baby....and she should keep him until he is 12 weeks old....especially in light of all the problems you have had so far. |

| Great advice YMom as long as the breeder does the feeding and takes him to the vet for diagnosis early tomorrow. Something is causing the need for constant nutrition. It seems from the mom's vet that as soon as he was off the IV Joey slipped back. Something is draining his battery and they need to find out the cause. Praying the breeder keeps her feeding up and little Joey makes it. Praying we all get good progress tonight and diagnostic tests tomorrow. Go Joey, you can do it!!! |

He is still weak but he walked and went to his water bowl all by himself today considering we've been syringe feeding him water it means that he is gaining a little bit of strength. In your honest opinion if he makes it should i pick him up at 12 weeks or should I wait longer at this point like 13-15 weeks. Even though he will never be left alone (I have a big family someone will always be home to watch him) he's still so little. | |

| Donating YT 30K Club Member | I am so sorry for all you are going through. It's so unfair to your baby and you. Just to give you a little hope. I got Cali at 9 weeks 1 lb from a BYB. i had had yorkies for over 30 years when I got her. To be honest before YT I never knew they should stay with their mom until 12 weeks o a lot of other things. I did know about hypoglycemia. Within 48 hours of bringing Cali home(almost 8 years ago) I woke to her almost unresponsive. I gave her nutrical and ran her to the er vet 5 minutes away. By the time I got her there she was acting better. I took her to my vet and she had kennel cough and coccidia (paasite). She didn't want to eat but I tried getting something in her every 2- 3 hours. Even still she had 2 more hypoglycemic episodes and er visits. After a lot of testing and thousands of dollars she was diagnosed with a very mild case of MVD (internal liver shunts). As she got a little older and more weight on her she was fine. So don't give up hope they are little fighters. Also, please don't blame yourself. I also bought a yorkie from the same breeder as my Pixie ( a reputable breeder) 6 years ago and she was almost 6 months old when I got her and within 5 weeks she was diagnosed and died from congenital kidney failure. It broke my heart and the breeders heart. So even though I did everything right with Dixie I still ended up with a terminally sick puppy. The difference was in the way each breeder handled it. Cali's breeder didn't do anything when I informed her of Cali's health issues. Dixie's breeder, cried with me, helped with medical bills and gave me Roxie. That's the difference between a bad breeder and a good one. I am praying your baby fights a little longer and pulls through to give you a long and healthy future together.

| It stands for Yorkie Haven Rescue. I wish you only the best! I'm glad to hear that he has stabilized and I hope he continues to fight, the little guy. And then he'll be back with his Mommy after a few weeks of rehabilitation and growing.
