I need some legal advice I spoke to the breeder about what she would do if Joey were to pass and she said that she could give me another yorkie for half price. I don't want another yorkie from her. I don't want another yorkie but Joey period. She's not even going to give me my money back. It's not like the money will make me feel better but she sold me a sick pup. She's saying maybe he was dropped since I wasn't home all the time. I told her he was always on the floor in his playpen she said maybe he banged his head.

I don't have a lot of money left all the hospititolizations have drained my wallet. But I told her if he passes I want his body for an autopsy. Does anybody know where I would go from there. Does anyone know who would be able to help me.

It's not that I'm loosing faith but the odds are against Joey.

I'm at a point that if she doesn't give me my money back I don't even care i want to know what is wrong with Joey. She told me that she did all that she was supposed to do that she did nothing wrong.

Oh my goodness. She is a piece of work. In my state, based on income, you can get free legal counseling. Is that available in Florida? She is making excuses and trying to place the blame on you. She isn't wanting to stand behind her health guarantee. I do hope you post a review and get her name out to the public once this is over with. She shouldn't be a breeder.

I would want his body too if he passes. Talk to your regular vet. Maybe they can tell you where to go to have one done.

I would care about her giving the money back. She sold you an underage sick pup. So she DID do something wrong. I know you are exhausted but you might be up against a fight with her. Don't give up. You might save someone the same heartache you and Joey are experiencing.

My son lost a pup this past year and we had grave concerns about some things that were done at the EC where she was.....we were told that a necropsy is around $600. :( Might want to call and check on that one. If I think of it, I will call this week.

OP, I have a feeling that breeder is not going to allow a necropsy. Her words disturb me greatly....she should be the one taking Joey to a vet. Just so disgusting that she brought him into this world and is not giving him what is needed. Just feeding him and watching him fail...SHAME on her.

She is not spending nickel one on him and won't refund you? You spent more money on him than she did...alll she did was MAKE MONEY on him. She is despicable if you ask me. Give you another dog? Sure...so you can risk the same pain again? Oh please.

Honestly, if all she is doing is watching him die, I would march right back to her home and get him myself even if it was to just take him and put him to sleep humanely. RIght now, you are STILL the rightful owner of him...you have proof of payment!!! This story is really really getting to me now. What kind of person IS SHE??????

The thing is she will be taking him to the vet and since in my are all the vets are closed and the 24hr center is way out of my price range I thought he had a better chance over there. I might just pick him up tommorow take him to my vet and see what she says I honestly don't know what I would do if I had to put him down but right now I just want him with me again.

She is not a god breeder. And don't have a right to be one. She obviously don't care about the pup or the new owner. :thumbdown. Ths story has really got to me too. I am just shocked how the OP is being treated.

Words fail me regarding this mean and uncaring greedier....and we now know that is what she is. Offering you a half price pup??? How dare she?? Any pup you get from her means heartbreak and bankruptcy! The least you are due is a refund of the purchase price. You have ample vet evidence for that.
I know you feel very exhausted with the whole thing and depressed about the possible bad outcome for Joey. But he is a fighter and he is still alive. She must get him to a vet or she can be accused of effectively killing the pup by negligence and animal cruelty. Do not give up on coercing her to get to the vet now. I would be blunt with her and tell her that if he dies it is her fault and hers alone. Surely she feels some compassion for the innocent commodities called pups that she is marketing?? Does she know that her business could be wrecked if all this got out?? My would I like to give her a piece of my mind!
Tired as you are, do not give up. If she gets away with this she will never change, so you are saving others from your horrible experience. So for
Joey's sake keep fighting as this is a war you can and will win.

That's what is keeping me going the little glimmer of hope that maybe just maybe he could make it. I'm so sad and depressed right now I just want him to pull through. If I had the money I would have kept him at the hospital as much as he needed I saved up for all his vaccines and some more before I got him but these hospitalizations were so unexpected. I ended up spending more on his care then I did on the price for him.

Florida has a really TOUGH lemon law with regard to puppies and breeders. With what has taken place to date with this baby, you would come out on top of this deal....many have done so, with much less in their favor. (I am sure Linda is correct with the enormous price increase in the necropsy....that 75.00 I paid was back in 1975 when my first little tiny Yorkie I had bought, died suddenly, for no apparent reason....of course, prices have increased...what was I thinking?) I am not sure if now would be the time to tell the breeder you have a copy of the lemon law and there are several clauses there that pertain directly to you and your puppy. You want a necropsy done on the baby, for BOTH her protection as well as yours. If the necropsy comes back and there is nothing wrong with the puppy except he had hypoglycemia, you will accept that....but your vet has said there is a major problem that is preventing him from thriving, that it is much more than just hypoglycemia, the baby is desperately ill, and you need it diagnosed. She KNOWS there is a problem that she is going to be responsible for, and she will do everything in her power to get around it. The law is definately on YOUR side in Florida....dont let her get away with this. You have her by the short hairs, so to speak....if she knows that YOU know you do have the upper hand, you will at least be getting your money back for your baby.

The rat woman, money is her God. Joey needs to see a vet today or the cost could be worse for her. Every hour is crucial as he is sinking fast. How do you know she is feeding him on the hour? She has no incentive to keep him alive and I cannot imagine such a cruel money-grabbing women is going to all effort the hourly feeding entails. How hopeless you must feel having to deal with this creature who calls herself a breeder. Stay strong, we are all so praying so hard for you. Hope God hears us.
