At this point it seems he might not make it. Even though I am praying I have to prepare for the worse. I decided taking him to the breeder is the best chance that I can give him. Unfortunately I am unable to pay for what might save him. The doctor said even if I payed to keep him overnight again and payed to diagnose and treat him he could still not make it. I contacted every family member that I could but no one can help me. I've done everything in my hands for him. Called low cost clinics etc. Now I will pray and if not let him pass in peace with his family. I will keep you guys updated. |

This doesn't sound like just hypoglycemia. If it was just hypoglycemia he would be fine after given sugar and then food something else is wrong and I think tests do need to be run. Something is draining his sugar and if that problem can be found then it might could be fixed and he might survive. Don't let the breeder tell you it is hypoglycemia and preventable because something else is going on. I hope he makes it to the breeder and she gets him to the vet and gets some tests done. Some breeders wont waste there money and will just let them pass and I hope she doesn't do that every puppy is worth fighting for. Keeping him in my prayers. |

Joey This situation is so distressing and I know how terrible and hopeless you are feeling. What on earth was the breeder thinking to release a 1 lb 7 Oz dog at less than ten weeks??? If it were just hypoglycemia the pup would have recovered after the overnight IV, not become sick again. Sad though it is, from what the vet says the poor tiny innocent is so seriously ill.....with something....that it may not make the trip to the "breeder" and get tested and properly diagnosed. I seem to be one of the few who places any blame on the so called breeder, she is the one who "dumped" ( and I use that word purposely) a very young, very tiny baby on an unsuspecting mom to take care of. And with some bad health issue too. Now the poor adoptive mom is totally stressed out, depressed and in debt because of the breeder's actions. I am so upset and can only pray hard that somehow the little Joey makes it against all odds. I just cannot imagine the pain you are in now. Hugs. |

I copied some lines from the contract. Would I be able to use this against her? 7. This guarantee does not cover illnesses contracted after the Buyer takes possession of the animal or injuries due to falls or other physical harm. Never leave the puppy unattended on a couch, table, or bed. Be careful closing doors. Be very careful where you step. 9.A veterinary finding of intestinal or external parasites is not grounds for declaring a dog unfit unless the animal is critically ill because of that condition. Information regarding hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) will be provided therefore the Seller will not be accountable should that occur. The Seller guarantees the puppy for 1 year from the date of sale against hereditary and congenital disorders that may interfere with the animal’s ability to lead a normal life. If, within 1 year, following the date of sale of the animal, a licensed veterinarian of the Buyer’s choosing certifies in writing that the animal has a life-threatening, congenital or hereditary disorder the Buyer has the right to return the animal for a full refund of the purchase price excluding veterinary costs related to the diagnosis and excluding shipping costs associated with the return. Euthanasia of the dog without the Seller’s prior knowledge or consent voids this guarantee. |
