I am curious about what they (Center for Pet Safety) DO recommend....they pointed out the problems, but did not offer any solutions. Seems really crazy that everything is so dangerous! There has got to be something that is more dependable.

| Does anyone have a good recommendation on a tether for attaching to the harness to the car seatbelt?

I would be happy to see a safety rating on a tether to use for my boys. The harness we use I feel good about. It's only the tether we are currently using that I don't have much confidence in.

Here are videos from Germany and Italy. Allianz Insurance Company, in Germany, was one of the companies that conducted a test where a dog crate exploded on impact. I don't know if the German video is that test or a different test...as I don't speak German .#

| My friend has a snoozer car seat. She just got in an accident- she was going about 70 , spun out and hit a wall. Her Yorkie/Pom was in his seat, harness attached and did not move. He was 100 percent ok!!

When ZoE was just a baby puppy & I took her to the vet, we were waiting in the waiting room & there was a lady there picking up her dog's ashes & she was talking to the receptionist about how her daughter was doing....and I confess I was listening in The gist of the convo was...the woman(was driving) and her daughter was in the passenger seat, and there little dog was riding in a console seat. The dog died in the accident due to the airbags deploying, and the daughter was severely injured (but recovering at the point of this convo), the woman driving was ok. I wanted to know more info, but I was new to this vet and didn't know the receptionist or the woman talking & didn't want to be rude. I'd actually been thinking about getting a console seat prior to this, because my front airbags in my Mustang didn't shut off, and I thought a pup would be ok, between the seats. I left there, thinking no console ever! So, I bought a ZoE a medium size booster seat & strapped it in the back of my car. Then about 7 weeks ago, I bought a Cadillac CTS, and the front airbags have a sensor so ZoE could ride up there & not have the passenger airbag go off. So I tried it one day while I was running into town. Surprisingly to me, I didn't like it at all. She seemed too high up and way too close to the windshield....so back in to the backseat she went. Then the other night, ZoE & I ran out to pick up takeout dinner, and there was a 3 car accident right infront of me. I had to swerve to avoid being a part of it, and then had to slam on my brakes to avoid hitting the car coming from the opposite direction that had driven into my lane to avoid being part of the accident too. I was SO glad ZoE was strapped safely in the back seat!

Yes she has him in the back seat, in the middle- which is where I have Pnuts! I love the idea of the consule, Pnut loves being in the front- but it is just too darn dangerous! I want him to be safe as can be.
