| New puppy...Morkie Girl! Questions Hi everyone! Well I've never had a yorkie or a maltese before but I do adore both breeds. On my search I decided I wanted to get a morkie and perhaps a yorkie one day in the future. My girl (8 weeks) is black and brown/tan and is the most black and brown out of her litter. They said her dad is a morkie and the mom is a yorkie. What do you guys think? Do you think they were playing me? I'm not familiar with how yorkies are supposed to look/change/coat types ect. I attached some pics of my babygirl and of the parents and dad when he was young and mom after giving birth. I am asking for opinions of what the parents look like, and what my girl looks like? and will she stay relatively the same color she is just turn much lighter like her parents? or is she going to stay the same? Does she look 75% yorkie to you? Her hair looks kind of wavy and so did her mothers. Thanks! |

BANNED! | Well congrats! You have a cute lil pup! Idk how she will look when she's older but right now she looks very much like a yorkie to me! If I had to guess, I'd say that she will prolly change colors.. She's a cutie |

| She definitely looks like a morkie and I would expect her to get a lot lighter as she gets older.

| Awww you guys thanks for the reassurance! It just through me off a little how the father was a morkie and yet when I seen the mother she was really light too but they said she was a yorkie....However I noticed that her ears weren't standing up..so it was all confusing lol |

| She definitely looks Morkie to me. Lily is a morkie and looked just like your baby when she was little, she is now all white with a little silver. Here are some pics of Lily so you can compare. the first pic and 4th pic are of lily at 1yr and 1.5yrs old and the 2nd and 3rd are of Lily when we first got her at 2m old. hope this helps! |

| Her ears are down. A Yorkie pup's ears should be at least showing signs of popping up by now but they could still go up if you shave the ears. If she inherited the Maltese gene for ears then they will stay down. You have a mixed gene pool going there so there are all kinds of possibilities. Even a purebred Yorkie tends to have shade changes as they mature. They usually get a few shades lighter. Watch her roots. That will give you a good idea of coming attractions. |
