| I'm getting a dna test done. Then what?? Last week I decided to get a dna test done on Minnie. I took her to the vet instead because I feel it's going to be more legit to stand up against the breeder. When the results come back either way what would be the next step would you think to take further action? Is there anything I can actually do? I didn't get the test done for that reason but I do feel justice needs to be done and they need to be stopped from doing it again. I will have the paperwork and the bloodwork. |

| Bless your heart....I am sorry you are getting caught up in something like this. This is something that seems to me to be best pursued through small claims court. Is your pup AKC registered? Do you have a 3 generation pedigree on her? I would think you need that 3 generation pedigree.....if the breeder has lied on those papers, and the parents are NOT who she claims them to be, and she has lied on her registration papers, AKC is not going to be happy about that. If your DNA test comes back showing Minnie is not purebred Yorkie, your next step would be to contact the breeder and tell her you have DNA'd your dog and she is NOT what the breeder claimed. Tell her you are contacting the AKC for direction forward. AKC will get involved and they will DNA the parents listed on thatpedigree to determine if those are actually the parents.....if the breeder is found to be falsifying her records, she will be fined and her AKC registration will be suspended. Then, when you have ALL this done, you take her to small claims court and get the cost of your dog back....you may only get the difference in price between a purebred and a mix, but you will get something back. You just want to be careful....you may have to choose between a refund and giving your Minnie back, or the difference between a purebred and a mix. At least you will get retribution against the breeder that has lied and committed fraud. |

| I agree, if the dog was presented to you as a purebred Yorkie, and is AKC registered, then the AKC will definitely want to get involved in shutting the breeder down. That's assuming at Minnie isn't 100% Yorkie, but after I looked at her photos again, especially the first one in your photo album, it would be a miracle if she were more than 50% Yorkie. I would also try to get financial compensation from the breeder, but I hope that you don't give Minnie up, because she still needs a good home... |

| We would never give Minnie up. We love her more then anything. She is honestly the best puppy ever. We are truly blessed to have her in our family. The main reason for us getting the test done is because we just want to know what she really is. People ask us and I just tell then "she's supposed to be a yorkie were just waiting for her fluff" it's terrible lol but I honestly don't know what she is and I don't want to lie. I was looking on the computer last nite and I found a bunch of new pictures on Instagram of people that post dog pics and she looked to me like a chorkie well a tiny bit like them anyways. Lol. I'm baffled cuz she to me doesn't look like any mixed breed and I have researched pretty much everything. She's more unique and we like that but closure of all this would be great as well. Most of the reason I didn't do the testing sooner is i was afraid of losing her but I talked to the vet and she they can't do thst and that's when we decided just to do it. It's not even about the money but the breeder was so fake and I fell for it. I got videos pictures met Minnie a few times she even got very emotional when we finally took her w us I in turn got emotional when all along I was the only real person w real feelings. I also found out last week that Minnie has that puppy mite that is not contagious to people or other dogs but affects the hair growth it's inherited from the mom and I want to tell her about it but not until I get the blood work back. And there may b a 1 % chance she is purebred and I wanna get all my ducks in a row first lol and then go from there. We shall c. These next two weeks are prolly going to go so slow but in the end it will all finally be done. |

| Good, I'm glad you're planning on keeping Minnie regardless of the results. To me, it looked like she had some Jack Russell Terrier in her. That would make her a Jorkie, I suppose . Anyway, the expectancy of the test results is exciting for all of us, so please keep us posted on what the DNA test reveals! |

♥Love My 3 Furrbutts♥ Donating Member | I'm sorry you are going through this....so many of these so called breeders are all in it for the money and nothing else. I'm so glad you love her regardless of what her lineage is. Please keep us posted on the outcome.

| We know from all of your previous posts that you truly do love Minnie & you have no intention of giving her up. She is absolutely adorable! And I can only imagine how much joy & happiness she's brought your family in the short time you've had her. I have a mix too. I love her just as much as I love my Yorkie. They're both different little characters & unique in their own way. I had a DNA test done as well - for my own peace of mind & for concerns for her health. And just because she's a mix, doesn't make her any less of pet or companion! I'm from two racial backgrounds. There's nothing wrong with me either! I applaud what you're doing right now. I know it's a difficult process, and emotionally draining. But you're absolutely right when you say that justice should be done. This breeder shouldn't be allowed to take advantage of people & little puppies to fill her wallet. Keep us posted on your progress. YorkieMom1 had some great advice for you. Good luck to you & Minnie!

| Nothing should ever 'muddy up' an acquisition of love like a precious little pup like Minnie! She is adorable and I am so sorry you are having to go through all this. Hopefully, everything will turn out good for you, and I am sending my best wishes that it does! Now, when will there be more pix?

| I was thinking Min Pin also. She is adorable anyway you look at it. Just the breeder should have been more honest with her lineage. She will b be loved by you and the family. |

| Agree she looks like a min pin, she is adorable. What a very cute pup. Hope you get to keep her and get your money back. Plus money you have spent on the DNA. |
