I am up feeding puppies...thought I would look around....bless your heart.....Orthopedics never my favorite issue....will certainly be praying for you and your test results....I can imagine how depressing it can get when you are continually having problems that will not be resolved regardless of all the time and effort put into it. Hang in there....we will be praying for a positive outcome and a healing!

| Could Minnie possibly be a red legged yorkie? I've never seen one as a young puppy? |

| Do "related breeds" have anything to do with their testing procedures? |

| Even with test results, which may not be accurate. I still don't think Minnie is pure yorkie. My morkie looks more yorkie than Minnie. |

| Like everyone else, I was stunned to read that Minnie is 100 percent yorkie. Just a thought for those of you that have not used DNA tests. They only go back 3 generations. My rescue boy was tested and came back as 100 percent Maltese. He weighs 11 lbs and is hair is course and wavey. I did another DNA with a different company and it came back 100 percent Maltese going back thee generations. Maybe this is where the problem lies with Minnie. The test does not go back far enough.

| They actually did a mixed breed test and still she was 100% yorkie. I know even more shocking. I should have posted that in the original message I apologise. |

Could you please post a copy of Minnie's report? I sent you a private message with my email address, just in case you need help doing it. It would be very informative for all of us...

| I have a friend whose daughter was doing a science project and she sent the dogs (total of 3 dogs) specimens out to be anaylzed. Their purebred Champion GSD came back as a mix with bulldog. She had bred the GSD and the previous 6 generations herself. She found it pretty laughable! The other 2 were shepard type mixes anyway- Rescues. The DNA tests can be wrong!

| I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I don't think you would want to do the "mixed breed" test, you would have wanted to do the "purebred" test.

| I would have done the purebred test, too. I bet the vet ordered the mixed breed test because he was so certain that Minnie wasn't a Yorkie, and he wanted to know what other breeds were present--the purebred test wouldn't have done that. Oh, well. I'm seriously thinking of getting a purebred test for Bella, just so I can use it as instructional material for Yorkietalk, LOL! |

| I didn't realize that there was a difference between a mixed-breed vs pure breed DNA test. I thought a test was just a test to see the DNA make up of the dog. I had one done on my Yorkshire Terrier/Maltese mix. I know that everyone's been asking to see Minnie's test. But I wouldn't have a problem scanning & posting mine if it's the general information in the report that you're curious about.
