I also hate hate hate to hear she may let you guys take her home when her pups are SIX weeks old! Yorkies pups should stay with their mothers until 12 weeks of age! It's sounds like you both will offer a wonderful home to a Yorkie, and I would strongly suggest looking into Yorkie rescues.. We have a few members here who work directly with some. You can get a gorgeous, already fixed, baby that desperately needs a good home! Something just sounds off about this whole other deal... Best of luck in whatever you decide!

I've been looking for quite some time now and I live in central Alberta, Canada. There just aren't as many small dogs avaliable here, they NEVER appear in any humane societies, ive seen none! There are a few rescue shelters that bring in small dogs from California as the kill rate there is unreal. But they again take forever and shipping costs add to the price.
They just aren't avaliable here as much as I truly wish they were.

That's sad.... Because there are so many here in the states... I wonder if there aren't any up north close to Canada... Hmmmm...

I was going to say this, too. She looks very much like Huey's dam and the color is identical, and she was a silky. You also posted that the current owner said she got the dog from a crook that lied about the bloodline? This could mean you could be facing genetic issues in the future that will cost more $$. I know for a fact that she cannot prove where her blood line comes from as she informed that the women she got her dog from was a crook and lied to her about THEIR blood line.

Not sure it you would be interested but If you cant find rescue around you, there are rescue that are willing to transport if they feel that you would make a great foster or adoptive family.

I don't think $800 would be unreasonable for a 3 year old that was current on shots, spayed, recent dental and registered. That is a pretty good deal because spaying and a dental is pricey.
However this girl isn't and I think to ask $800 for her coming intact is too high. Spaying/dental is usually $300+ so that is additional money you would have to pay for her on top of her purchase price. That sounds a bit greedy to me but I guess everyone has the right to ask what they want for their dog.
