| hi everyone just joined today Hi everyone I have just joined today hoping to find a few yorkie friends,i lost my yorkie nearly 2 years ago i am still trying to come to terms with losing him i miss him everyday he left a huge hole in my life and in my heart i still get very upset when i talk about him, people told me when your dog passes away it breaks your heart but to be honest i never expected the pain and heart break i did get, people used to say to me its only a dog with a look like pull yourself together but until you have owned a dog and spent many years with one especially a yorkie in my experience no one will ever undertand the massive void they leave. |

| Hi and welcome I'm sorry you lost your little fur baby... A lot of people here can certainly relate to loosing a loved pet. It is heartbreaking. I lost my Yorkie Ginger almost 3 years ago and I still miss her very much. I got a new Yorkie on Sunday and it feels so good to finally have another one in the house. Genea |

| Welcome to Yorkie Talk. I am so sorry for your loss. I know people often look at me and my sister crazy because we refer to our fur babies as our nieces and nephews. When my sister lost her first baby at 1 year old to a very tragic, unexpected death, she had to go to therapy. The therapy was for pets and human children, trust me lots of people were there and understand how you feel. She is still devastated on the anniversary 4 years later, and no one here will ever say that to you. I hope you enjoy YT as much as I do! |

| Sorry for your loss. I hope you can eventually let another one into your heart. I honestly feel it helps, at least for me anyway. Most of us here know your pain.

| Hi there and welcome to YT. I can totally relate to what you are saying and what you have gone thru. I lost my Jasmine (she was a Pom) almost 7 years ago now. I am sitting here with tears in my eyes as I type this. That pain does ease but it never goes away. I can say this...when the time is right, you will find another pup to come into your heart. That new pup will never replace the one you lost, but it is amazing how you suddenly realize you have this entirely other spot in your heart that was just waiting to be filled up by him/her. I was shocked when it happened to me. I'm so glad you found us and it is very nice to meet you. I am so sorry for your loss. I, and a LOT of us here, feel your pain and have been there. I hope you stick around and let this place help your heart in its healing.

| Well, you most certainly could not have landed in a better place! There is not one soul on here that does not understand what you are going through....most of us have lived your heartache ourselves, so snuggle in and feel loved, accepted, totally understood, and cared for. I still cry over my babies that I have lost, as do most of us....time will soften the sharp edges of that pain, but it never goes away....your baby held a very special place in your heart and no other pup will ever fill that in. You will eventually feel like you are ready to accept another pup into your heart...right alongside the area your other baby holds so dear, and you will start a whole new, different adventure with a new baby, one that you will adore and treasure just as much as you do your other. Until that time comes, take off your hat and coat, sit down with a favorite beverage, and join the group...you will learn things you never could have dreamed of!.....and gradually, you will feel a soft, gentle little nudge, coming from your heart, allowing you to feel like maybe you are ready to accept the devotion of another precious little soul! And it will begin all over again for you!!!! Last edited by Yorkiemom1; 04-18-2013 at 01:30 PM. |
