I detest that greeders are breeding very tiny dogs who at some point in their lives begin to manifest genetically inherited disease processes that create so much suffering and disability for the dog and a dog so small it cannot live a normal, carefree dog's life. Many tinies are too miniscule and fragile to even jump off the couch without injury or too short-legged to even run normally through thick grass without struggle or walk a block with the owner. They are bred for looks and not function - bred to appeal to women based on a lifelong puppyish, juvenile, cutesy appearance that never goes away with adulthood rather than healthy bodies and pleasing temperament. Very few of the websites breeding tiny, undersized dogs ever ever ever dwell on the health of their breeding dogs and puppies, the good health records and reports from owners of their dogs placed in homes or how many health certificates the breeding dogs earned from reputable veterinary clinics for their sturdy, healthy bodies. Nope. Just the opposite. It's all about cute, baby faces, big eyes and heads, short little legs and ribbons, lace and charming pastel colors everywhere. All eye candy to program you to buy based on looks, appeal of a perpetual puppy and charisma rather than health, stable temperament, intelligence, form and function.
