The term teacup may not be AKC recognized but its a term used to describe small puppies and there is nothing wrong with that. AKC is nothing but a registry like thousand others and they are not the god of anything. Most of us have smaller Yorkies.

I read some charts online but they don't seem accurate to me like the weight is too low. I just hope he stays small because I want to take him with me everywhere! Thanks for your help guys. :mad:

I use to say that I wanted a "teacup" until I found out that most of them have a lot of health issues. I did get my furbaby Honey and she only weights 3.7 pounds. I love her size because I have never wanted a big dog. Now if a paid 2k for a dog that was suppose to be a certain size I would be very pissed off and I think you should try and get some of your money back. Also you do want to make sure the dog is healthy. That is very important! You can learn a lot from people on here. I know because Honey is my first yorkie and this is where I learned everything.
