| I think he is purebred. I have a couple who are also dark. He will probably get the dark golden points later. His parents also look yorkie.

| I think yorkie. He looks a lot like Kyra did at that age. She was and still is dark. Her gold was very pale at that age almost a cream color.

| Well, no doubt about it - the pics of the mom and dad are Yorkie. If those are his true parents, he is a Yorkie. There are some really dark Yorkies (some here on the forum) and perhaps he will be like them. I absolutely love that his tail is not docked, by the way

| I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Are you planning on breeding him? I probably wouldn't buy him as a breeding dog, but he would make a wonderful pet, he's adorable!

| I do not know for sure if it's his parents, but the seller says it is. Personally, I would never use a dog without a pedigree for breeding, so no, he shall not be used for breeding. The seller can't have him anymore, because she must move to a place where it's not allowed to have a dog. I'm not sure I know what it mean, that his tail is not docked? ![]() Those of you who have a very dark Yorkie, can you possibly put a picture in here that I can compare with? |

| In the last picture you posted of him, he has a long tail. Most Yorkies have their tail docked (this means cut down to a nubby kind of tail). Usually by the time a buyer gets their puppy, it's already been done because the breeders have it done when they are super young (along with removing their dewclaws). Anyway, if ever given the option, I would NOT have my pup's tail docked just because I think it is unnecessary and their tails are so expressive. Just a preference of mine. My Mandie's is docked and she wags that little nub all the time. Hmmm, if it was still long, she might be knocking over stuff all the time with how much and fast she wags hehe

| Morkie, is maltese and yorkie. So they have long hair just like both the maltese and yorkies. Since they are a mix they have a bit of both traits of dogs. Teddy is 3/4 yorkie and 1/4 maltese. Most have floppy ears. They come in variety of colors, parti, yorkie tan and black, yorkie blue and tan, a few blonde, and a few black. Here is a picture of young litter of morkie a. |

| He looks Yorkie to me. Since getting Gracie I have looked at a lot of Yorkeis and I see there are a variety of different head types depending on the dog's background. Most pups that have a parent with floppy ears like a Morkie do not have ears as upright as your picture shows. Most of them have floppy ears like the parent or just half way up. This guy has only one little ear tip that is down and he has maintained his coat color, Most mixes will start changing color very young. It looks to me like his face is trimmed up and that may make him look less Yorkie but I would guess he is all Yorkie or at least 2/3's. He looks like a little doll to me. |
