Oh My! HAWKS!

I surely would not trust them! We live in the "city" and have hawks here. One day a couple of weeks ago, I was out with Jack getting mail, I heard a screech and looked up to see two of them hoovering overhead - checking things out I guess. I actually was walking up the drive with Izzy in my arm and Jack was on the ground. I scooted Jack inside rather quick and he was not happy with me as he likes to leisurely check out the yard, like every single time we go out... Must be new smells for him to investigate.

I also had brite orange vests made for my babies, even when they are supervised continously in the back yard...those hawks will swoop down and snatch up any little "vermin" or "rabbit" they see....at least they wont swoop when the dog has a bright orange vest on...they study it before they attack to see exactly what it is......but I wouldnt be comfortable letting them run with hawks swooping overhead....I have had a baby carried off by a predator bird....it is a sight you wont get over.

Can only imagine living through the trauma of that!
I just don't trust anything to deter the hawks, I'm just on guard all the time. I hate that Cali can't have the run of her yard.
