I surely would not trust them! We live in the "city" and have hawks here. One day a couple of weeks ago, I was out with Jack getting mail, I heard a screech and looked up to see two of them hoovering overhead - checking things out I guess. I actually was walking up the drive with Izzy in my arm and Jack was on the ground. I scooted Jack inside rather quick and he was not happy with me as he likes to leisurely check out the yard, like every single time we go out...
Must be new smells for him to investigate.
