| **Nature's Miracle - What Am I Doing Wrong?? Ok, so I sprayed my carpet in the room where my niece's puppy peed and where Mandie had some of her "accidentally on purposes." I used the red bottle of Nature's Miracle AND a blacklight. The room STILL smelled like pee. I figured I must not have used enough to get down to the padding. So, 2 days ago, I SOAKED the carpet. I mean soaked!! I got the big bottle with the batteried up spray nozzle. And I soaked the carpet from wall to wall. This morning, I open the door and it still smells like pee! Everyone raves over this stuff and I know it must work. What am I doing wrong??

| I just had help my daughter to do that a few weeks ago to her carpet in her living room after her dog had an accident both pee and diarrhea OMG what I mess she had. We cleaned and washed the messy area on the rug then sprayed the natures Miracles on the rug. The next dayafter the rug dried it looked clean (we didn't use a blacklight) but it still had an terrible odor. So then we Sprinkled baking soda using a flour sifter to spread it better over the areas, lefted it on for the day then vacuumed it up and then sprinkled baking soda on the rug again. The next day vacuumed it up and the odor was gone. Just a thought you might want to try that. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | It sounds like the pee may have gone into the surface below the pad, some people have to pull the pad up and spray directely on surface below.

| I don't think you are doing it wrong. Honestly, I think the product is not as good as it is supposed to be. When I use it I also end up using other cleaners like Woolite. Whatever cleaner you use it works best for me at least if also usinga shampooer. Then the liquid is soaked back up.

| Well, it's good to know it's not just my imagination. My hubby has no smelling sense whatsoever so he can't smell anything. I was starting to think it was in my head lol

| My family has been using Quick N Brite for years and it always works well, plus it's all natural. With the paste: you just put some in a spray bottle with water and heat, then shake it to mix it well, with liquid: just put in spray bottle. Spray it onto area where the pee is and let it soak in, after a bit scrub real good and then we usually spray febreze on it. We even use Quick N Brite to wash the carpets instead of carpet shampoo. My family has been using it for a long time and it always works great, but we call it "The Pink Stuff" in my house :P I hope this helps! Amazon.com: Quick N Brite Biodegradable/Co: Home...

I'm going to give these things a try because I rent the house and I owe it to my landlord and my pocketbook (deposit money) to TRY. If trying a reasonable amount still doesn't work, I will just pay him for new carpetting. I'm so happy that the majority of my house is linoleum (looks just like hardwood though) and tile!

| We always used "OUT!" brand on recommendation of an employee who had Many pets. Always worked great- couldn't find it at walmart last time so I bought Natures Miracle at petsupermarket. It is not working half as well as the Out! brand. Guess we will be switching back! |

| nm I use NM all the time. The smell will get worse. Way worse. Open the windows. After a few days it will be gone. When I first started using it I too thought I was doing something wrong so I looked at there FAQ on there website and saw it was normal. Edit to say the enzymes are breaking down the Pee to make the smell to get worse Last edited by archonis; 03-13-2013 at 03:37 PM. |
