I just had help my daughter to do that a few weeks ago to her carpet in her living room after her dog had an accident both pee and diarrhea OMG what I mess she had. We cleaned and washed the messy area on the rug then sprayed the natures Miracles on the rug. The next dayafter the rug dried it looked clean (we didn't use a blacklight) but it still had an terrible odor. So then we Sprinkled baking soda using a flour sifter to spread it better over the areas, lefted it on for the day then vacuumed it up and then sprinkled baking soda on the rug again. The next day vacuumed it up and the odor was gone. Just a thought you might want to try that.
