![]() ![]() ![]() Below is some info I pulled up, I am sure there is much more out there, I am glad this thread was started because the grand daughter of one of my neighbors has this type of dog and she brings it over to visit. I did not plan for that dog to have any interaction with Lola but now I know to be much more careful. Temperament Sometimes, the Shiba tends to show dog aggression. This is more prevalent between female Shibas and is influenced by the breed's strong prey drive. The Shiba Inu is best in a home without other small dogs or young children, but consistent obedience training and early socialization can make all the difference. The breed also interacts fairly well with cats.[2] From the Japanese breed standard: esame Shiba Inu A spirited boldness, a good nature, and an unaffected forthrightness, which together yield dignity and natural beauty. The Shiba has an independent nature and can be reserved toward strangers but is loyal and affectionate to those who earn his respect. They can be aggressive toward other dogs.

| ![]() My brother has a Shiba Inu and he does not like my yorkie pup. The Shiba Inu is 11 years old and gets along great with my mom's maltipoo but he's always growling and tries to bite my Yorkie. I had another yorkie that passed away not too long ago and he hated him too. |
