| ![]() Most of you that know me, know my dogs sleep in their crates. They often put themselves to bed. The door is not closed on them. Gracie is the only one who sleeps with me. I got her as a rescue around 8 months old, she was terrified of the crate. So from day one she sleeps in the big bed with me. Gracie is no longer afraid of her crate and often takes naps in it. She also hides toys in her crate. But when I say, 'lights' out gang. She goes and sits by the my bed.

YT 1000 Club Member | ![]() Any new one of my guys starts sleeping with me after he's Housebroken. That's really not too difficult, since I have Adult dogs which are almost inseparable. ie: When My Male Sneakers has the urge, everyone follows him out to the yard. Newbies get the idea pretty quick. My new Pup Ichabod got his privileges about the third week he was here. Having Adult Dogs for new Pups to learn from, is INVALUABLE !!! ![]()

| ![]() I started mine with a crate on the bed so he could see me but not wander around. Then we moved to an open crate on the bed, but no steps to get around the room. That was at about 6 months, when he was regularly not waking up at night. I then added the steps as he got better with peeing on the pads and now he has steps and sleeps on the bed, but goes down at night to pee on his pads. He also needed a bit of time to stop wanting to play at night, but it is much better now. Lights off is means time to relax! |

My Male Sneakers usually doesn't use them (he's big 13+lbs) but My Female Becca and new Male Puppy Ichabod do (they're smaller). Sneakers goes out to Potty through the night, and the other guys follow him. I hear them moving (have bells on all of them) but barely even open an eye. SO nice ! ![]() As far as the accommodating... Don't we all, but surely I must be the worst of any of us here. It doesn't matter, ANYTHING they want, they got it. ![]()

| ![]() Idont remember....Luma slept in an x pen in our bedroom at first, but she would crawl out of it to get in bed with us. Then we tried a crate and she did fine, never cried, but I honestly missed her and couldnt sleep without her, so here we are a year later...she sleeps either snuggled tight between mama and daddy, or I spoon with her ![]() We're getting a second in April and I have no idea about sleeping arrangements. I will try to keep her in a crate until she seems big enough to sleep on our bed, which is kind of high. We do have pet stairs and hopefully she will use them.

| ![]() Well maybe he's not a bed sleeper. ![]() I'll try him again in a few weeks. He seems to be going through a restless stage ATM.

| ![]() I think Sophie Kate was about 6 months old when she started sleeping in the bed with us. She had to grow a little and get some meat on her bones in order for me to feel comfortable with her in the bed with Avery (he was 18 lbs and she maybe 4 lbs).
