| Hello all. I went to Walmart and lo and behold there in the pet food aisle was a selection of made in America dog treats!! They are made by Full Moon and I was so happy to see the American flag on there! I bought 2 bags, one of chicken jerky and the other of chicken bacon and they are a big hit with my babies. Just thought I should let you guys know.

| SMH I am appalled that American companies try to trick Americans into thinking products were made here. They know were trying to support our own.

| Believe me I am very careful reading packages. My little boy got some of the melamine crap in the chicken jerky a few years back and almost died. He now has kidney failure thanks to those wonderful Chinese. I have never bought Chinese products again and am very careful about reading the packages. These are made in MO.

To this ("They know we're trying to support our own") I would only add because they know they moved formerly American manufacturing 'off-shore' to reap more self-retained profit/wealth and are intentionally selling their 'cheap labor' inferior 'off-shore' produced and/or contracted products back to Americans, many of whom they know they rendered jobless...at top dollar, of course. As more and more of us 'get wise' to what's been done to us at our expense, they must become increasingly more inventive with their 'Tom Foolery' advertising...just another trick of that deceitful trade...and what better way than to 'hook' innocent 'flag waving' customers who love their fur babies but don't realize the REAL label is 'disguised' as a 'smudge' of microscopic print camouflaged elsewhere on the label...allowed due to 'loop holes' likely intentionally created, too. All of this is JMO, but thoughtfully formulated from what I read, see, and hear...please do not hesitate to research 'advertising techniques' for more info...'they' are quite proud of their accomplishments in their field: "A successful advertisement creates a desire in viewers, listeners or readers." We want American made products...they print an American flag on the label intended to create a desire... BTW..."us" means ones not knowingly involved..."they" means ones knowingly involved and profiting from their involvement...and the term "flag waving" merely indicates...and absolutely no offense to anyone is intended...that some of us are so devoted to helping our 'fellow countrymen' that we haven't yet noticed how frequently one of our country's most 'sacred' and honorable symbols is being intentionally used 'emotionally' against us, abused deliberately, to deceive us...we are far too nice, too kind, too devoted, too loyal, and waaaay too trusting at times, and no one is more 'guilty' of 'being gullible' in this way than ME.

| I'm not familiar with the brand. Can't say if they are good or bad. Just try to read up on the brand. It is hard to know what is actually in pet products because they do not have to tell you if they got some of their ingredients from China. They can be made in the USA but have foreign products in them. |

| I just saw this on FB. I don't know if it's true, but worth a little peek on some things you got laying around the house to see if the bar codes match up. If the beginning of a bar code starts with 690, 691, or 692 it's from China. If it starts with numbers between 00-09 it's from the USA. "HOW TO READ BAR CODES...(everyone must know) ALWAYS READ THE LABELS ON THE FOODS YOU BUY--NO MATTER WHAT THE FRONT OF THE BOX OR PACKAGE SAYS, TURN IT OVER AND READ THE BACK---CAREFULLY! With all the food and pet products now coming from China, it is best to make sure you read label at the supermarket and especially when buying food products. Many products no longer show where they were made, only give where the distributor is located. The whole world is concerned about China-made "black-hearted goods". Can you differentiate which one is made in Taiwan or China ? The world is also concerned about GMO (Genetically Modified Organism) foods; steroid fed animals (ex: 45 days old broiler chicken). It is important to read the bar code to track its origin. How to read Bar Codes....interesting ! If the first 3 digits of the bar code are 690, 691 or 692, the product is MADE IN CHINA. 471 is Made in Taiwan . If the first 3 digits of the bar code are 00-09 then it's made or sourced in USA. This is our right to know, but the government and related departments never educate the public, therefore we have to RESCUE ourselves. Nowadays, Chinese businessmen know that consumers do not prefer products "MADE IN CHINA", so they don't show from which country it is made. However, you may now refer to the barcode - remember if the first 3 digits are: 890......MADE IN INDIA 690, 691, 692 ... then it is MADE IN CHINA 00 - 09 ... USA and CANADA 30 - 37 ... FRANCE 40 - 44 ... GERMANY 471 ........ Taiwan 49 .......... JAPAN 50 .......... UK Share it!" ETA: I think this is for food products only. I just checked a bunch of bar codes on random bike parts and the numbers so not match up LOL.

Full Moon is made in USA....probably not the only ones to jump on the bandwagon of making dog treats stateside after the waggin trail fiasco...lots of money to be made, so we're sure to see new companies popping up.
