Yup, it's sad really. I'm Chinese American too, and even when I go to the Chinese market I don't buy anything from mainland China. I make sure it's from Taiwan. Even my mom reminds me all the time. "make sure it's not from China!" How embarrassing it is for us too. We can't be proud of our "home" country (even though I was born here but you know)
