Yorkies born November 2012 Pooky was born November 4th, 2012, and I'd love to have other yorkies in this age group to stay in contact with, share and compare with during the next 6-9 months as they are growing up...are there any other yorkies born in the month of November 2012 that would like to start a growth and development thread? Pooky's been in my life a week now and I'm just tickled he's mine! Thought it would be fun to see who grows the largest, stays the smallest and all in between during the next 6-9 months. Please state dob, if known, any weight/height/teeth/fur records that you'd like to include or at least their current weight. (their hair is going to change many times! Mine kinda looks like a skunk head) I must be seriously sleep deprived because I didn't realize he was already 14 weeks and 4 days! lol I guess I thought he'd stay 13 weeks forever! Love to hear from you if your baby was born in November 2012! |
Hi and congratulations on your new baby! Cooper was born on November 7, 2012, and he is currently 2 lbs. I don't know how tall he is off the top of my head, but I will measure him and let you know. He has all of his baby teeth and a very full coat. His face is turning really golden, as are his legs. He also has a bit of gold on the underneath portion of his tail. I'd love to keep in contact and see how our babies mature, and hopefully there are others out there with babies born in November or December as well. |
Mine was born In september 25. |

How exciting!!! Puppies to grow with!!! Pooky is 2 lbs 6 1/5 oz. this morning at 14 weeks 4 days. Last week he was 7" tall already! I think he's fine boned as well as most Mexican dogs are. I wonder if they measure for that? I'm still trying to figure out the forum and how to manuver posting pictures. There's pictures I loaded to the forum last night but can't find them and I could't fingure out how to transfer them to an album...i'll get it :) Can you see these even though i messed up?? I know he didn't shrink but I also didn't have his hair brushed down real good like this week, I parted it. Thank you again to all the puppy moms, do we have pops on here too, for saying hey. This will be fun to watch them grow up! I didn't buy Pooky's papers, it was almost $200 less so I opted out but kind of wish I had them to look at and confirm his birthday etc. The breeder has 2 litters he's selling online. One is an October date and the other is late November. He'd told me Pooky was November 4th but I don't see any more from that litter. Not only that, he hasn't answered me back about how many puppies he had in his litter with Pooky. This will freak out some of you but here in Mexico, there is so much insecurity that we could't go to the breeder's home. I certainly understand why. So we met up with the breeder in a secure location I chose and he brought the parents and puppies to the litters I wanted to see after sending me pictures. He knew his dogs and which pup was which and he has a lot of experience. Was amazing to deal with. Maybe I'll write him one more time and see if he'll answer my questions but honestly, it doesn't really matter. I just wondered if Pooky was the smallest of his litter and that's why he was so small compared to the other puppies? Also about whether the pups typically grow to the same or exceed the parents since his father was a few ounces bigger than his mother? I was so glad when he came and Pooky really was in the 3 month range because the pictures he showed me looked more like the two month, which is fine. I'd rather have an older puppy...less hassles. |

Glad the pictures turned out...but he's a week older as I've been sleep deprived and got my dates mixed up...good grief! |
Hi....our Lambeau was born Nov 1, 2012. He was a singleton. At his 1st vet visit on 12/29 he weighed 2lbs 5oz....on his 2nd vet visit on 1/26 he weighed 3lbs 3 oz. His next visit is in a week and I can't wait to see what he weighs now. He's been a good night sleeper from day 1 and potty training is going slowly....right now we are working hard on play biting...little stinker has really sharp teeth!! Can't wait for this final series of vaccines so we can get out a bit more. My hubby and I are really enjoying this spunky little dude! I think it will be fun to watch our furbabies grow up here on YT:) |
Muggles was born on Oct 18 - he weighs 4.5 pounds already  |
I don't know if I qualify. My puppy was born December 2nd. A little over 2 pounds at the moment. |

Hi everyone! We would love to keep up with all of you! Our little Mia was born Nov 8th and is now 14 weeks today! We've had her for 2 weeks now and I'm sooo in love! She weighed 1lb 13oz 2 weeks ago we have a checkup tomorrow so I will update then. She is black with gold on her face, legs and under her tail and is growing silver hair on her head, it's a little funny she looks a little bald, poor baby! When I got her she was itching like crazy, the vet skin tested her and we found she had démodectic mange(non contagious) but she was so miserable! We started on meds and medicated shampoo, I also changed her to a lamb and rice diet and added fish oil as well, and she is so much better! Thank goodness!! |

We feed our dogs raw marrow bones so Pooky has been enjoying gnawing at those and it helps me keep my fingers :D Once the toy poodle had cleaned the inside of the bone, I let them bring it into the house and it works great! Yes, those teeth are SHARP! I wonder when they start to get the grown up teeth? It's interesting to watch him as he tries to find a crack the mortar of our tiles. I think he wants to eat it. I give him a, "chech," sound and he moves on. I can definitely see the mouser in him, he can get into tiny spaces with his little face. The past couple of days he's gotten comfortable enough that he's started to give me a little of the run around when I want to go inside. May have to introduce him to a harness and expandable collar to put that to a stop before he thinks it's a chase game. Potty training has been good so far. It's more like I'm trained and sometimes I do mess up if I feel rushed. Nothing like wanting to take a shower and know it's time, take him outside with no luck(not fast enough), get into the shower, wet with soap to hear my daughter annouce that Pooky left me a wet present by the bed! I'd read and our breeder told me not to introduce Pooky to the indoors of our home until he'd gone potty outside. The breeder also didn't feed or give him much water before we met as he didn't want Pooky to get car sick so we spent a long afternoon in the garden until Pooky could produce. :) It took me a couple of days to get the rhythm. It helps that he sleeps in his purse by my pillow and when I'm ready to get up in the a.m. he goes out to do his business quickly and I reward him with claps and praise! Oh, at first, he went anywhere in the house he was allowed to be, so I soaked up the urine on a paper towel and took his stools and set them in the grass where I wanted him to go so the next time I took him out he would smell it and know that's a good place to go; cleaning up the house well. |

I was mortified when my toy poodle pup came down with mange. I think it was triggered from her first clipping that I gave her. It just irritated her skin. Super easy to treat. We used a shampoo and she was just fine and never came back, that was 2 years ago. Welcome everyone, the more the merrier! Thanks for your comments! Just remind us now and then how many weeks they are so we can keep track of where they are in their growth. On the toy poodle forum, we have a ticker that is placed in the signature, I'll see if I can add one for this site for Pooky's growth. |
Hello, Chase and Cash were born November 28th. Just brought them home tonight and I'm so excited! Will post pics tomorrow! |
