| I know you're feeling nervous. The only thing you need to do is to keep her from jumping. Kacee was spayed on October 21st and I was sooooo nervous, even though I trust her dr implicitly. She came home that evening and we slept on the floor! She spent a very restless night, but was feeling much better very quickly and back to playing ball in no time. I just noticed for several weeks after the operation that every once in awhile you could tell she felt a twinge by the way she acted, but even that went away eventually. She had internal stitches. Good luck and let us know how she does Thursday evening.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I also was a nervous wreck but in MOST cases they're very quiet the first night and the next day will be more of their usual selves...but I would really watch the jumping - she may not even try but mine did GOOD LUCK to little Maisy |

All of my gang came home and slept like a rock the first night and the next day they were back to normal. You do not want them jumping off the bed, the sofa etc. You also have to be a little gentle picking them up because they are sore down there. Good Luck

| I know exactly how you feel. I was a wreck when Aria got spayed at the beginning of December. I was so nervous & scared...I even took three days off of work (would have taken the whole week off if it was possible) to watch her. I felt bad having the e-collar on her so instead I watched her like a hawk the whole three days. Everywhere she went I was right behind her (paranoid mommy). She was really clingy and whiny the first couple days but day two I could definitely see that she was getting back to normal (although I was still babying her). She kept wanting to play chase and fetch. I was stressing out cause I didn't want her to run or jump so I would throw the ball only 2 feet (again paranoid mommy). The next few days that I had to go back to work we dropped her off at doggie day care and before we knew it she was all better. She's back to her old hyper self.....ahhhhh....

| Oh I just love Maisy to pieces I wish her a speedy recovery and send her lots of kisses! When I got Hallie she had already been spayed but when I took SImon to get neutered I was so scared but you know what? He was sleepy the first night home and the next day you wouldn't even know he had it done, he was playing and chewing and acting crazy! Please let us know how Maisy is as soon as you find out! |

| maisy went to the vet at 8:30 & we picked her up at 4. she was fin & while they had her "out" they pulled her last remaining baby kanine tooth. Maisy was happy to see us when we first saw her again! we put her in her carryer and kept her in there on the car ride home. when we got home we took her out and the instructions said to try giving her some sips of water and watch to see if she throws up, if not 2 hours later give her more water and a pinch of food. she is fine with eating. my mom has been holding her on her lap and shes been sleeping & watching TV since we've been home. She seems so sad . i bought her a new toy at walmart while she was at the vet! i was excited to give it to her because i spent my own money on it and all she did was sniff it. we have to keep her from jumping and licking herself for 10 days until the little metal rod in her stitches (i forget what its called) is taken out! this will be fun |

| Brought my little dog home - she slept a lot the first day and was quiet the next. She never did lick much and was soon fine. Yes - if you have a licking problem, I just put something on her that is soft and loose to cover that area for a while. Carol Jean |
