| Oh, Jacqui, that hurts to hear little Samuel is suffering so. Wonder if they can't put him in a medically-induced coma as he's so miserable without risking his life? Well, I guess they would do that if they could. I pray to God that the morphine will hold him and he can sleep. Poor little child going through something like that and his poor mother having to watch it. And the fear she must be having has got to be paralyzing. No wonder she can't eat anything. Hope they can get some Ensure or something like that down her so she won't just get totally depleted of energy and her blood sugar get so low she's just drained of everything. Maybe her husband will just make her take something to keep up her strength and make her take something for sleep. Poor things. I hope they can somehow feel the love and care and prayers coming from all over for them. Jacqui and Morgan, thank you for your updates. It's going to be a long night in that hospital tonight.

| YT 2000 Club Member | Little Sammy is in my prayers. The Lord loves little children and I believe He holds them very close when they go through tough times. Trust in Him, He is a faithful God. Remember that precious Sammy belongs to Him. Read Psalm 56 over and over-When I am afraid I will trust in You. We are helpless when it comes to medical problems but that is when Jesus is there. We trust in Him and in the doctors. May Sammy come through this valley with a healing touch from the Lord. Surrounding you with love and prayers! |

| I am so sorry Sammy is in such pain. My older son had just turned 3 when he had his open heart surgery (1979), but they did real good with pain management. Even so, I KNOW how it devastates you to have a little one go through OR. My older son did that once a year for his first 4 years...his daughter had open heart when she turned 4...and he went back under in the cath lab last year...they stopped and restarted his heart trying to reset his A-fib. My younger son had febrile seizures at 15 months old and would quit breathing every time and require resusitation. There is NO FEAR like having your much loved little ones ill or hurt. What you are going through reminds all too vividly and painfully of what we went through. Please KNOW that we care, and want this to be over swiftly and as easily as possible. {{{Hugs}}}

| Just wanted to provide an update from Tracy: She tried to get on YT last night, but the hospital WIFI is blah so she cried through 2 pages of this thread before she lost connection. She wanted me to tell you all that she is so thankful, humbled and amazed by everyone's love and support and as soon as she can get a stable connection she will respond. Also, they are still trying to get Sammy's pain under control. Please continue to keep them in your prayers. Thank you everyone

| Thank you for the update. They need to do a better job managing pain for that little boy. My heart just breaks to hear they are not handling this well, and that he is suffering. I have had hospitals NOT manage my pain until I no longer needed pain relievers following surgery...and the 'upside'...such that it exists... ...is that the first few days are the worst and it will diminish on its own. I do so want them to get this under control for Sammy. Hearts are breaking thinking of this...not just his Mommy's/family's. {{{Hugs}}}
