| Another dog lost due to hotel staff I just saw on Fox news that the Warwick Melrose Hotel in Dallas removed a ladies chi and jack russell from her room without her permission to take them for a walk. The manager said that it was because other patrons complained of the dogs barking. So they intered her room without her permission and removed her property without her permission and then lost the chi. This happened over the Thanksgiving weekend and the little dog has not been found. |

| Wow how sad!! Poor chi!! I don't trust hotels - Pnut always stays with his Gma when we spend the night in hotels!

| That is so terrible and wrong of the hotel. Money will not bring her dog back but I would sue them for all they are worth they just can't do that stuff.

Donating YT 10K Club Member | I travel a lot with my dogs and hotels rules routinely state your dog can not be left in the room by itself. Some go so far as to let you know that if it occurs and they are aware of it...the dog will be removed. That being said....the hotel is responsible for losing her pet. Even with the rules above...the animal should've been retained in a kennel in the office.

| We are supposed to travel with Mina in the fall. Usually we are in our trailer, this time we will be staying in a hotel or two. There will be one day that she can not go with us. What are you supposed to do? That doesnt make any sense. |

| The thing that scares me is- even if your dog is in a kennel. If a hotel cleaner or worker in general comes in and sees them- they can take them, nothing stopping them!

| Can you look for a doggy daycare around where you are gonna be? Or is there a family member or someone who can watch her?

| Unfortunately this is a family function involving the inlaw or soon to be inlaw saide of the family. To say that they dont like dogs is an understatement. As for doggie daycare,I feel about them the same way that I feel about groomers. |

| That's just so sad!! If I have to stay at a hotel when I travel (which isn't much at all really), I board my dog(s) or leave them with their grandma. I don't trust hotels. And even if the rules say you aren't supposed to leave them in the room alone, everyone does it..how can you not? It's not like you can take your dog to a shopping mall or a restaurant while you are out of town.

| One time I had to leave Cali for 3 hours so I hired a baby sitter. They found me one who loved dogs -- and I threatened her with her life if anything happen to her and that she was not to leave the room with her AND there would be a big tip when I got back. It worked out great.
