That's just so sad!! If I have to stay at a hotel when I travel (which isn't much at all really), I board my dog(s) or leave them with their grandma. I don't trust hotels.
And even if the rules say you aren't supposed to leave them in the room alone, everyone does it..how can you not? It's not like you can take your dog to a shopping mall or a restaurant while you are out of town.
