| houdini with clothes I have measured Huey all over and done my best to order clothing the correct size, but he is so long and thin that nothing fits appropriately. He has 1 tshirt and 1 christmas sweater he can't get out of. Got him a new sweater today and thought it was a perfect fit. I noticed him hopping around a little while ago and he had a leg through the neck. His new camos are also big around the chest and he can get out. The only way I have found to keep clothes on him is to apply a harness on top of the shirt. I don't really sew, so don't think taking them in is an option. Short of fattening my dog up, any suggestions?

| Looks like the sweater and camo jumper are perfect fits. You have an escape artist! Make sure he isn't too warm indoors in the clothes. Maybe there is a reason he wants out.

| There are quite a few people on Etsy - Your place to buy and sell all things handmade, vintage, and supplies that make clothing for dogs that are made to fit. They will take your measurements and make what you need. I think they are really reasonably priced, too. I think there are a few YT people that sell things on Etsy. Getting a better fit might help. Does he dislike wearing sweaters or is he just managing to get out of them because of the fit? |

| He doesn't like being dressed, I'm just trying to get him used to it so on the rare occasion that we go out, he isnt fighting the clothes. Also, it is currently 66 degrees in my house which is perfect for me but causes Huey to bury in blankets.

| Hi! IDK... the clothes in those pics actually appear to fit him well. Going with a tighter fit may prove to be uncomfortable. His issue may be having his legs covered. My old guy always gets his hind legs out of his PJs, but they do also fit him perfectly. My only suggestions would be to get him a sleeveless vest that has velcro closures, they will usually adjust an inch or so either way. You might want to order one from a YT vendor if he's an odd size. Does your dog enjoy wearing clothes? That would be the only other thing I can think of as to why he may be trying to get out of them. He looks pretty comfortable in the pics...

| Every girl's crazy bout a sharped dressed man! (Thanks ZZ Top!). I think it best to stop by a PetSmart or PetCo and try on some things to get a good feel for the right size. That should help you when ordering on line! |

| Many Yorkies are like this. My Gracie likes the temperature to be at least 74 degrees. In the summer she is hiding under the covers when the AC or a fan is on. She is more comfortable when she has something on that helps keep her body heat in. Hopefully you can find something loose that is comfortable on him and gradually work him up to fleece. A loose fleece shirt is comfortable and warm but not as restraining as a sweater. Gracie does not care for traditional sweaters. I think that they press on the fur and make it uncomfortable on their skin. |

| I agree... My guys like cotton... They tend to not like knitted materials. But, I've had clothes on them since the day they came home. (My hubby is so hot natured and keeps our house cool) just start out with some simple cotton shirts or razor back tanks!
