| ![]() Except for my first purebred I never bothered to get the next tree registered I figured what's the point they were all neutered, so I must say I don't know much about the organization. Did you say you can only register them if both the parents are AKC

| ![]() Interesting! I may never use the information but I love learning and now I know ![]() Just as a side note, when I think of mutt I think of a dog that is a mixture of several breeds. A cross between two mixes. Like lady and the tramp lol

| ![]() Although both of Hueys parents were purebred, I have no clue if either were registered AKC. It really doesn't matter unless I wanted to do the earthdog competition because only registered dogs can compete, but since it is just something I considered, nothing we have actually tried, it really doesn't matter. He is neutered and my love doesn't depend on his pedigree! It is a thought for the future, though, if I get another "silkshire terrier".

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | ![]() I have conflicting views about this. I thought you had to microchip the dog before being able to secure a AkC competition number? You really do need some form of permanent identification, so that the dog that is being trialed can be ID'd accurately. I think it is great to promote human/dog activity participation in all the performance sports.

Donating YT 10K Club Member | ![]() It is not a program for "registration" and no pedigree is provided. I think the word register is causing some confusion. You "register" so it can compete in the events, similar to registering to enter a show. The dog is simply assigned a number. No papers and the animals must be altered...so no offspring. | ![]() How does AKC know the dog is altered or not, and all that that implies, I wonder? I guess they just take the person's word for it on a form?

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | ![]() I would think you would need a doctor's word, just as you need a doctor's word for shots. Here in AZ the fee for licenses is lower for those who have been neutered and I had to send in proof of that. I don't think too many organizations take someone’s word, except the vanity registries.

| ![]() As someone stated above this is a promotion for AKC. It not for registering for breeding. The animals must be microchipped and spayed/neutered. All kinds of dogs, including totally mixed breed dogs are allowed to enter this promotion. They will be allowed to participate in obedience and agility trials. https://classic.akc.org/canine_partners/enroll.cfm |

| ![]() Very interesting. Very conflicting news, great for when an accident happens heck Derik's Rhodesian Ridgeback, whippet cross was from two very respected kennels and sge was a very active dog-what a hot mess mix though...semi concerning this may be a platform for something else though. I love my Schnorkie...what could be better than my two favorite breeds in one dog right? Unfortunately I now know the cons of such breeding...nevertheless increases AKC funding and hey maybe this will prevent litter fraud in some ways. Guess we'll all see how this turns out over time.

| ![]() Merles...ugh what a scam that is! Now they have mini schnauzers in merle...gee the breeder who started thise got a merle yorkie (what the freak ever a yorkchi!) and wow these mini schnauzers in merle sure are super small and have very silky long coats...amazing they look so schnorkie! Sorry I can't help but ooze sarcasm and can't wait for the AKC to finish its inveatigation against the 3dogs breeders who brought merles here and have been registering them AKC...DNA doesn't lie...even īgenerations later
