| Thanks so much to all of you for your thoughts and Prayers! I feel like a weight has been lifted off of my shoulder. I am so grateful that Jax's test was negative-No Liver Shunt! Apparently, he has some GI issues, but we can deal with that. Also, I wanted to say that in my last post-I didn't mean for it to sound like I thought there was anything wrong with finding a puppy on line. If you meet and talk to the breeder, go to their home-that's one thing. Unfortunately, I didn't-there was a third party involved and I had no contact with the breeder personally-I realize that it wasn't very smart, but I don't dwell on it now--I just wanted to be clear about the meaning of what I said in my post. Again, thanks for everything. I am still trying to figure out how to maneuver this whole forum thing and I look forward to gaining some valuable information. |

| Thanks so much! Your little one is so precious especially in her dress-so cute! What breed is your other cutie? From going to the Dr. so much Jax is starting to get more comfortable with other dogs. Initially, if we went into a dog friendly store, I would have to hold him the whole time because he was shaking so much! |

| I am sorry for your pain and illness and having to worry about Jax. He is beautiful and one of the cutest pups I have ever seen! The only advice I can give is to stay on top of everything and do as the Dr. says, they may be able to correct his problem...or medicate his problem. I don't have much, thank god, experience with Liver Schunt but I do have a puppymill girl who is sick often and has had more surgeries than I can count; however, her pain and suffering is not constant, her quality of life is still awesome and as long as that continues...I will keep taking care of her, like she does me! She is almost 8 yrs. old now. I had another pup with heart problems who lived only a year, I wouldn't trade any time I've had with either of them for anything! Try not to imagine the worst because imagining is far worse than going through it...take it one day at a time and make sure you and your vet are always on the same page! Good Luck and keep us posted, we are here for you.

| I was checking back for an update and so glad he does not have a liver shunt. He is such a cute boy and you and Jax have really had a time of it. I hope he is well from now on so you can enjoy his company without worry.

| I'm glad they think it is not liver shunt. Hopefully, your vet has some experience in dealing with common Yorkie illnesses. A vet that has that kind of experience knows many signs and symptoms to look for that may be overlooked by other vets. It sounds like maybe you bought through a broker? There are many of them online. People who live in areas where Yorkies are not that common many times turn to the internet. I hope you can find the best route possible to get your little guy healthy. |

![]() My other dog is a sheltie mix. We aren't 100% sure what he's mixed with. He has the same coloring as his daddy dog and looks just like him except he's a lot stouter and weighs about 35 lbs more. lol Most people guess border collie and it might be, but not sure. He looks that way due to his coloring, but his daddy dog looked like a "off standard" bi-black sheltie. Short answer = Not sure LOL
