| ![]() Oh and to answer some questions about mommy yorkie, we filed for a warrant to remove her. Its always faster if we can get the owners to give the animals over rather than actually remove them, but we are thinking she's trying to keep the mommy so she can try to breed her again... As for the dad yorkie, he's going to a good home with a loving elderly couple who will be home with him all day. |

| ![]() sounds like the entire yorkie family is being saved. do you have an xpen. you can keep her in this space safe when you cannot keep your eyes on her and its give more space than a crate. i wish you the best of luck and hope your new bundle of love does well. thank you for saving her and her family members.

| ![]() I would keep in a large kennel or playpen that you can be sure she stays warm enough in. How big is she? That usually plays a part in how well they do away from there mom at that age. I got farley at 7 weeks. He had been taken from his mom at 6 weeks. An older man had bought him and then his wife left him that week and the puppy wasnt potty trained in 5 days so he gave him to me( i worked at the vet clinic at the time) Anyway he was 2.2 lbs that day ![]() Just wanted to share a positive experience . I hope you have one too. |

| ![]() Thank you for your replies!! She is tiny, my vet just called and she's only 1.3 lbs at 6 weeks. She supposedly was the runt of the little. Here's the only picture I have of her ![]() Would you recommend putting a big stuffed animal in with her? I'm just worried she is going to be lonely since shes used to being with mom and dad. http://i411.photobucket.com/albums/p...psc61c0695.jpg |

| ![]() i would use a heating pad on low under his bed to help keep the puppy warm since he has no other liter mates or mom to snuggle with. |

| ![]() I have used those rice filled things that you put in the microwave, then drape it over your shoulders...I got one at Walgreens...it is about 18 inches long and maybe 4 inch diameter.....I heat it up wrap a flannel towel around it, place it in the baby's bed, kinda curved around in a U shape....the babies love to snuggle right up next to that, like they would if it was momma....heating pads scare me, and if I use them, I put them completely UNDER the pups box, then put pups bedding in the box...no way they can get directly on top of that heating pad.....At 6 weeks old, the baby can regulate it body temp, but can get chilled...keep out of any drafts at all.... | ![]() Welcome and Congrats! She's adorable! When I brought Riley home I had bought him a snuggle puppy. It is a stuffed animal that has a little heater inside as well as heartbeat. They snuggle up to it. It is still his best friend I call it buddy. He takes Buddy with him from room to room... It's too Cute!! |
