| Ilovejoel: Other than that he can make ALOT of noise on command, I think thats why he's so quite because I taught him to make so many different sounds, the different noises I taught him are growling, crying, talking, sneezing and he now knows the difference between bark and woof, he actualy says woof, its so cute[/QUOTE] What a smart boy! I bet its adorable.

| Yoda doesn't make much noise at all! He jumped up from a dead sleep once and barked (bad dream?). And he whines a bit once in a while if he isn't getting spoiled enough. |

| Scoovers screams like a banshee...no seriously someone reported a screaming child once...it was him whining because he was home alone...he no lobger barks I trained him to growl instead...and he's on meds for his anxiety now Elvis only yaps when there's a knockand at the door, poodle walking by, HGTV doorbell, everytime Derik comes in the room, kids do something naughty (lol he's like a trained snitch) or there's a flying or crawling intruder in the yard-namely rats, crows, mice or seagulls

| Brody is pretty quiet by himself, but Mia is more vocal with barking...even at nothing obvious, or a blade of grass blowing in the breeze...and gets Brody going, too. Brody will 'errrr' when he wants something, even your attention, and will bark if he feels he's being IGNORED (OMG!!!) or wants something REALLY BAD!!! Mia will deliberately take one of 'Brody's toys'...they are all, according to Brody, "HIS" toys...even Mia's toys...lol...and then snarl and growl and errr and wag her little stubby tail while 'defending' the toy...then give it up and laugh at Brody...you can seriously see her grinning about her deceptive little trick on Brody. She will also 'defend' a favorite place...like the bed or the love seat. Both will bark when a kitty wants in or out, or a noise happens...lol...and Brody will bark at anyone about to get too close to his toys or his Mommy. But, for the most part, things are relatively quiet.

| I think Yorkies are naturally talkative. I'm convinced that Gracie thinks she can talk. She makes sounds in her throat to tell me things. Then if I don't pay attention right away she might bark at me. She does not bark a lot but when she gets excited while playing she will bark. It does sound like your dog has a problem with the harness. Does it go over his head? Some don't like anything over the head. Does he enjoy his time outside? Do you take him for a walk? Usually when they associate the harness with fun things like going for a walk or a ride in the car they start to love the harness. |

| Ella is very quiet (compared to my Maltese, Lily). She only barks as an alert when she hears something or sees a bird or cat in the yard. Aside from rarely barking she is an excellent whiner. She whines when she wants some attention or to be picked up, also she whines when you leave (it's almost like shes asking permission to come too!).. sometimes her whining works on us. |

| Tatiana is a quiet yorkie. She only barks when someone comes to the door. Also, she does a low howl at me when she wants my attention. She is so quiet that sometimes people thinks she's a toy (until she moves). |

| My Cujo barely barks, he is so sweet! He was a gift from my long time boyfriend. He tries to be friendly with other dogs, but runs back to me when they bark at him! |

| JoJo is super vocal LOL. I think I jinxed myself on this site a few years ago when he was about 6 months old and said he is very quiet and had never barked. Wellllllll...let's just say he has definitely found his voice and has been piercing my ears with it ever since LOL. He barks at every single noise...cars, bikes, people walking by, birds, rain, leaves, my printer, the dishwasher, you name it! He also play growls with his toys and makes his own funny noises to get my attention. Oh, and sometimes he dream barks too LOL.
