| Maybe you can have the DVD on continuous cycle. How long are you taking off?

| You really do need to be careful in choosing a play pen. You want one that is escape proof to begin with and also one that will grow with your puppy. You don't want to invest in a play pen that your puppy will out grow quickly. I prefer the larger metal pens. You can get a piece of linoleum to put under it if you have carpeting. Some pens can be made bigger as needed. Many pups are good at climbing so that has to be considered as well. I have always had a couple of small rooms that are not carped to use for puppies. I put a child gate across the door so the baby would not feel cut off from everything. A small puppy does need a limited amount of space until it gets the idea of using the potty pad. They can't be too far from the potty because they don't have the ability to hold back their urine very well as babies. Congratulations on the new one. | The 8 panel iris pen arrived today. It is awesome! Very easy to move from room to room if needed. It's huge! We ended up only using 6 panels and that's still really big. Maybe as she gets older we will add more. Would definitely recommend this pen and Gracie loves it! |

When you hook the leash to her make sure you are using a harness and not a collar because yorkies are very prone to collapsing trachea. Collars are great to use just for an id tag which you should get with her name on it and your cell phone number because puppies are known to dart out open doors so its good to have that info on her if she get out of your sight.

| Thanks for the tip! I picked up a harness today. When should I start teaching her to walk with it? She's 10 weeks and just so tiny! The dogs I've had in the past I would definitely be walking them by now but she just seems so much younger than they were at the same age! I find that I treat her so much more like a baby than I did with other 10 week old dogs. (My last dog was a lab) |
