| ![]() If it was parts of the bone he got off, even if little, I'd still want to go in and get an xray. As others, I'm so freaked by the events of this past week.

| ![]() I was also wondering about what a "severe protein deficiency" is as well. I was so upset to read her owner's last update. I can't imagine having to see such a sweet little darling pass like that. She was just an adorable little dog....and so smart! I guess I'll have to look into protein deficiencies and see how that happens. Since she was also severely anemic it is really hard for someone else to try to understand. Obviously she was having some sort of catastrophic shut down of her body systems but not knowing all the details it is hard to know why. It's just very tragic. I'm sure her owner is just trying to cope at this point. |

| ![]() IMO it's sad what happen to Lelo. But IME just because your Yorkie got a rib?? How much did he really chew?? Isn't it a hard bone? If the bone looks pretty intact the vet most likey will say " Lets wait" Unless you wanna pay for xrays they will usually wait a day or 2 for signs. It will be quick then they can operate. Lelo was a 2lb Yorkie and I don't think protein deficiencies happen from blockage unless it was from internal bleeding?? But you should have some time. IME I've owned dogs along time they will eat alot of stuff if you get an Xray every time it happens well you are going broke unless you are rich.IMO in the morning if he's doing the dogward down stretch more often than he should then maybe have him checked. Belive me I've been through this with Moki already. Each even is different so just watch your pup. Good luck and don't over worry but watch JMO |
