IMO it's sad what happen to Lelo. But IME just because your Yorkie got a rib?? How much did he really chew?? Isn't it a hard bone? If the bone looks pretty intact the vet most likey will say " Lets wait" Unless you wanna pay for xrays they will usually wait a day or 2 for signs. It will be quick then they can operate. Lelo was a 2lb Yorkie and I don't think protein deficiencies happen from blockage unless it was from internal bleeding?? But you should have some time. IME I've owned dogs along time they will eat alot of stuff if you get an Xray every time it happens well you are going broke unless you are rich.IMO in the morning if he's doing the dogward down stretch more often than he should then maybe have him checked. Belive me I've been through this with Moki already. Each even is different so just watch your pup. Good luck and don't over worry but watch JMO
