| Oh my goodness Jeanie....so happy that Tibbe's ok - but don't you think you should get yourself checked out? I really hope you're feeling a little better today, and that you managed to sleep? We too dry Harry on the floor - it sounds like, by Tibbe's reaction, he thought you were doing it all for his own personal amusement.... Sally + Harry x |

| OMGosh! I hope you're feeling better! Very good save! Didn't know you had that manuver in you, did you? You have to watch some of the older Yorkies too, bc they know you won't let them fall, and they will do some crazy jumps when you least expect it. I have a table similar to the one below, and in addition to that is to always have one hand on the dog at all times. Or a leash tied to the faucet can help keep them in the sink or tub. Always be wary of strangulation possibilities when using any kind of leash though. Quote:

| Woke up and decided to check on Carla, saw ya'll sweet comments and thank you one and all. Tibbe still seems fine. He's gotten plenty stinkeye with me at being awakened from his naps and night's sleep now so he just raises his head when called and gives me a look. I then invariably roll over to him, mash his belly, mash his gums and raise him up, get his eyes in the lights and look at the pupils to see if they are reacting and let him settle again. I can't raise up from lying down using my arms, blow my nose or suck hard on anything without that part of my chest protesting. I honestly didn't ever think of that part of my anatomy ever before and it certainly has never hurt or been felt by me. I swear something in there moved some when I hunched up my shoulders and folded them in so hard and fast catching my little bowling ball as he came off the cabinet! Ah, well, it too will heal. Have a litte headache but that's from the pain medicine. I frankly took some to get to sleep and it always give me a headache, a little nausea so I'm good. Due to my hip, I kind of hate to get down on the floor but I do when I need to do it but I do think of dislocations so I do so carefully. I might use a show lead or harness on him if I use the cabinet again to remind him not to rush forward off it again. We'll see. I'm just go glad he's unhurt and all ya'll that groom on the floor - smart ladies!

| Thanks. How's sweet hubby? Are you all sick and tired of the hospital by now? It gets old there pretty fast, doesn't it?

| I always hate to hear that you are in pain. Jeannie, please take care of yourself. I don't have a grooming table (Katie was so well trained by her breeder and is so good when being groomed), but that little table really looks great. |

| I am so thankful that Tibbe came through this unharmed, but so sorry you are hurting. I hope you heal quickly! I bathe mine in the basement laundry room. Once when I was bathing Maddie and was getting her towel, she took a flying leap out of the sink onto the floor. The floor is tiled over cement, so it is hard! PTL, Maddie showed no signs of injury and hasn't tried that since. Hugs to you and Tibbe!

| Zachary's Mom Donating Member | Another possibility is a hernia. I have had 2 and while getting out of bed one morning a month or so ago, it tore out again. Hope it's not that but it is something to consider. Louise |

| Sounds like you pulled/strained a muscle in the awkward way you tried to catch him. Apply heat. Feel better and a good thing you caught him.

| If it stays sore for long, I'll go see the doctor to see what I did to a body part I've never even felt before, let alone had any trouble with. I don't guess I've ever gotten that part of my body in the position it was put in trying to and catching Tibbe!

| YT 2000 Club Member | I was sitting on the edge of my seat reading your episode with Tibbe. I am so glad you are all right and Tibbe too. These Yorkies are fast little guys and I have to watch mine very closely when I bathe them. I never leave them for a second. One loud noise and Spud is ready to bolt. I am so thankful you both are fine. Just love that little Tibbe photo! I bet he is a sweetheart. He gave you a kiss after all that! You are a great Yorkie mama! |

| Thanks, Sandy. He's never even come close to the edge before and he's 5 years old but he is still sometimes afraid of a sudden or shocking noise and those scissors clattered against the counter when he stepped on them and he just ran to get away from the noise! That's why you can't trust one to step away or look away if they are up on anything. They are so fast and anything can spook one. But he's going to be tethered just in case if I keep drying him up there. I'll probably just bring him over to the couch and sit down to dry him from now on but I do need him at eye level for grooming his ear tips and around his eyes so if I can't get down on the floor, he'll be secured. I might miss him should a next time happen and that would finish me off for good!!! I could never, ever, ever forgive myself if he got hurt because I was careless.
