Thanks, Sandy. He's never even come close to the edge before and he's 5 years old but he is still sometimes afraid of a sudden or shocking noise and those scissors clattered against the counter when he stepped on them and he just ran to get away from the noise! That's why you can't trust one to step away or look away if they are up on anything. They are so fast and anything can spook one. But he's going to be tethered just in case if I keep drying him up there. I'll probably just bring him over to the couch and sit down to dry him from now on but I do need him at eye level for grooming his ear tips and around his eyes so if I can't get down on the floor, he'll be secured. I might miss him should a next time happen and that would finish me off for good!!! I could never, ever, ever forgive myself if he got hurt because I was careless.
