| I am glad you decided to switch vets, being rushed is not good and thats when most people make mistakes when they are rushing. When Sammy had to get a few shots this year I was talking with the vet tech and asked about reactions and how likely he was to have them and she said that there shots cost a little more buts its because they get the better vaccines that have less additives and are less likely to have reactions to so maybe that is why it would have cost more at the new vet. Loving and feeling comfortable with your vet is very important

Also the 1st vet didn't tell me anything about reactions. But at the new vet she said they gave her the the one that had the something with a B borda something? But anyway she told me to watch her closely for swelling in her face. She said they should have at least waned me about that, because swelling of the face can become serious in a pup so small. So then I was ![]()

| Vets are humans and come in all the various types and personalities. If you can't talk to your vet and feel comfortable then keep going. It's a competitive business and they need to cater to their customers. It is one thing to disagree with a client and it is another thing to be just rude and condescending. Yeah, I think the word "teacup" would have had me running for the door especially when she said they give it all the shots with no problem. How ignorant can they be?? They would not have gotten near to my baby.I don't go by how much a vet costs. A high priced place can be a major rip off if run by a certain kind. It's the knowledge base and experience level that matters. Sadly, many pet owners don't know the difference. |

| When I brought Luma home and took her for her shots at a brand new vet, I firmly insisted on not getting the Lepto. If looks could kill...!!! haha! A 20 year old telling the vet techs what to do! We're at a different vet now and they were SO nice about Luma's spay. I was a wreck. They let me leave a tshirt with her in the kennel, when we bring her in she squirms to be held by the ladies...and when she was sick a while ago instead of putting her in a kennel they all held her on their laps. It pays to find a great vet.
