| It is tooo early to be taping ears!!!! Please, contact your breeder! She will be able to help you tape that babys ears IF and WHEN it is nmecessary to do that! If you dont do that correctly, you will get that babys ears all lop sided, and possibly hanging sideways!!!!....you really do need to let your breeder help you with this!!! But I think it is still tooo early to be doing this! |

Senior Yorkie Talker | Id give it some more time, my boy did not need his ears taped at all. The breeder sent us a picture of him when he was younger with oober floppy ears, I'd guess he was maybe 7-8 weeks old and his ears were 100% down. When we brought him home at 12 weeks old, they were slightly floppy but now, at 16 weeks old they stand up constantly. Sorry I cant be of more help. Good luck with your little one.

You think that my post is critism????????????????? OMG!!!!!! ????CRITISM ???????????????? YOU CAN NOT BE SERIOUS!!!!!! First thing I can say to you is just because you have read that 200 million people are doing something, THAT DOES NOT MEAN THAT IS THE CORRECT OR EVEN MINIMALLY, THE BEST ACTION TO TAKE! Have you also read that Yorkies ears go up and down during teething?????????????? Have you also read that it can take 4-5 months before ears stand???????? I suggested you contact your breeder so she could help you with hands on teaching.......THAT IS NOT CRITISM!!!!!!!!! But now that I re-read your post, you bought your baby from a breeder that let the baby go too early, so perhaps YOUR misunderstanding of my direction for the best "hands on" help I thought I could offer to you, was obviously misinterpreted because you in fact can not rely on your breeder for help. How sad for you. The second thing I would tell you....dont be so thinned skinned that you can not read a post that SUGGESTS you take a different approach to a problem, a post that, rather than just blindly, irresponsibly spoon feeding facts, presented in a sequential order, as critism!!!!!! WHN SOMEONE TAKES THE TIME TO TRY TO TEACH YOU SOMETHING, AND THEY DO SO WITHOUT INSULTING YOUR LIMITED KNOWLEDGE IN THAT PARTICULAR AREA, I WOULD SUGGEST YOU ACCEPT THAT HELP GRACIOUSLY, IN THE SAME FRAME OF REFERENCE IT WAS GIVEN TO YOU, AND EITHER LEARN, BENEFIT FROM IT, or just ignore it. Dont insult people that are trying to give you assistance! | |

| I'm sorry but using a lot of exclamation points and all caps and such comes off as yelling and I can see where it could've hurt the OPs feelings. I'm not saying criticism was being given but I can see how it came off that way. On the internet, we can't hear inflections and intent. Now, it seems both of your feelings are hurt and I don't think either of you meant to do that.

| MY original post had no all caps. My feelings are not hurt....I am just stunned and amazed at what some people call criticism. Last edited by Yorkiemom1; 10-19-2012 at 05:49 PM. |

Yorkie Yakker | Yorkiemom1 if i had the chance to contact the breeder about the puppy i would, but obviously its not an option because i came to yorkietalk to figure out the answer to my question. Plus you dont know why he was given away so early, i saved him from a lady who wanted to put her dog asleep because she found out it was pregnant. I thank you for your reply but the structure of your sentence came out different then intended to be assistance. You say your feelings weren't hurt? If you have the need to rant and rave on a post start a blog or go to facebook because im here for help! |
