| Random Thought... Again, Totally random thought, but this is just the way I think.... My Bevo turned 4 last week... Mack will be 2 in Feb., Bryleigh turned 1 in June, Jaxson will turn 1 next month... They are all very close in age, especially the younger 3, within 16 months of each other....was I dumb?? When they get old will I face one heartache after another? OMG...Take a breath... what have I done!!!!

| Don't stress over stuff you can't control, predict, etc. Enjoy your dogs.

| Cherish each and every day you have with each of them. We never have them as long as we would like, so stay in the moment. I have had similar thoughts, as I have 2 four years olds, and 2 three year olds. Every day is a gift, no matter how old or young they are.

| My dogs are all 2 years apart on age from oldest 2 years older than middle and middle 2 years older than youngest. I did this on purpose. They are all close enough to be life phases together but not in the puppy stage together. Sadly I know that hopefully after a long iver their expected life span I may loose all of mine at the same age. They are a pack and a forever trio pack. They won't have a puppy join in their senior time. I wanted to add a fourth when Princess turned 2...but oh well. When mine pass and go presumably around the same time frame, I will have a dogless home for a bit to mourn before adopting others not in their place but filling the pet void. It is semi planned our dogs will pass by life spanphases estimate when our kids are in college phase. Mayne we will travel a bit and resettle with our retirement dogs for now we have our family dogs.

| Before I got Gracie I lost my dear old pal at age 15. I was heartbroken. I was never going to have another dog. Then I discovered that I did not want to live without a dog in my life. Now Gracie is 2 and I look at her and think, "she is going to get old and I will lose her too." It is morbid and I try not to think about it. It is really difficult dealing with the fact that they have such short lifespans. |

I did have this happen to me and it was just heart breaking to me. I lost my Molly at age 12 in Oct. 2010, lost my Annie age 13, 2 months later on New Years Eve 2010 and then lost my Lizzie age 15, 11 months later last Nov. 2011. So that was 3 within a years time I lost. The 3 I have now are also close in age, they are healthy but I like you have thought again about this. I just try and keep it in the back of mind and not go there.

| Our babies are 11yrs,11yrs,12 1/2 yrs,6 yrs, and almost 2yrs. We lost Bunkey at 9yrs the two that are now 11 are his brothers and 11 months later 2bits at 15 1/2. You can not think about if they will pass close to each other. You just love them while they are with you. I do spend quite a bit on meds each month, but I dont care. Everymorning and evening we have a time of passing out the meds, but I dont care. I began wondering the same thing when 2bits was 11 (big dog with hip problems) and the 3 poodles were still acting like puppies. We were blessed with 4 1/2 more years with him. I cherish everyday that the now seniors are here and think back on when they all used to run through my house,we had to sit down and just watch. |

| [B]Brain Stuck on Replay ![/B ]Hugs. I know sometimes my mind does that too. I hate obsessive thoughts. I have found that it helps, if I read my 'I am thankful for list' out loud like a mantra chant. I can get my brain to change channels by writing my thoughts down and looking at them with logic. Prayers help too. I can put on up beat music and sing along. Going for a brisk walk and enjoying the trees, flowers and nice things I see. Some ideas are about 'what ifs' that will never happen. I hate wasting potential good times, with fictional worries, so I have worked out things that help me. I hope some of them help you too. Hugs again.

| None of us - dogs or humans - are guaranteed tomorrow. So, try not to dwell on thoughts like that. Enjoy each moment as you have it and know that, in the end, you were blessed to have those moments.
