| Milo goes to a pad right before we go to bed. I love that. He goes the same time as me. Then we go to bed.

| Maybe a litter box with some dirt and grass seeds! Then the grass can grow and we can have a potty area. Lol. I see a new Science project for my students! ![]()

| Armadillo??!! Really? Never happen in my yard. In the middle of the night, I do harness Copper mainly because I don't want him seeing a cat or whatever and taking off around the yard in a mad dash. I tell him at the door, "We are going out to pee, that's ALL we are going to do." (Like he really understands what I'm saying...LOL.) But I say it every time. Joke's on me I guess. I keep a small flashlight at the door on a hook for outside time. So far I've never seen anything in my yard except giant crows and a cat or two. I am wary however because coyotes have been in the area, and I guess they can scale fences. My fence is at least 6 feet...hope I never see one.

| We live on 3 acres on a big hill, with 90 acres of farmland behind us. I get scared going out there at night! lol. But duty calls ... for our very last potty run (usually 11pm), I harness him up and use the short leash (6ft) since we do not have a fence, and during the day I use a 50 foot line to walk him. But at night, he just has to go pee, and I like him to be closer to me just in case anything were to pop up. The most I've ever SEEN around was a fox and deer. But I know there is more. At my dads house, he does have a fenced in yard and I let him go out but I stand up on the deck so I can still see him. During the day the dogs all go out by themselves, but they don't generally stay out there without us, just to potty and come back in.

| I do take my girls outside to their postage-sized fenced-in backyard to potty. I always go out with them, but the thought of hawks and owls has always scared me, especially at dawn and dusk. We just get out and get in quickly. We have only had a few episodes with interlopers. One time a cat was in the yard and my girls went crazy. Another time there was a opossum on the other side of the fence and I had to pick my dog up and take her inside because she went into predator mode. Oh, and then one time there was a turtle....

| I had hubby install bright floodlights that light up my tiny backyard like it's daylight. I think that helps scare off the the unwelcome critters. I don't like the dark at all, and neither do the girls. At least no one ever plays around, and they all get down to quick business. I do appreciate that.

| Looks like I probably should at least harness them. Or grow the grass in the garage!

| we have a big yard and most of it is not fenced, but by spring it will be, however we will still go out via leash because Lola potty's much quicker that way. I am lucky cause I can stand under my porch when the weather is bad and the leash will still reach the grass. With two it might be harder since the leashes are bound to tangle, you may have to go out one at time or have you DH help I really would not think about introducing a pad into your house, you might be asking for trouble and accidents if they are not have not gone inside before.

| We have the same kind of prey animals as you and then some. I don't take Gracie out at or after dusk. I don't take her out until the sun is high in the sky during the day. We have pee pads for if she has to go at night or when the weather is bad. We go out walking at least twice a day when the weather is nice. I do not let her out on a long leash. I keep her close to my side so if anything did approach I have her right with me. Owls and hawks as well as coyotes are fast so by the time you see one you don't have much time but they are after small animals and not humans. If your pet is right beside you they are less likely to be attacked. Even if I had a fenced yard I would never let Gracie out during the evening or early morning hours alone. I would still keep her on a leash next to me. I would never leave her in the yard alone due to the hawks. Thankfully. the big hawk that was hanging around a while back has not been seen in a while. The big black birds kept chasing it away so I think it has moved on but I don't take chances. I have seen huge owls in the trees even after the sun has been up for a couple of hours so be vigilant. I have never personally seen a coyote around here but the golf course down the road has had several sightings. They are a bit further up the mountain then we are. I know they are becoming more and more of a problem in other areas. We did have a fox steal suet out of a bird feeder in the daytime during the summer months. I think she had a litter of pups near by. Foxes don't really bother anyone like a coyote will. I still don't take any chances with Gracie though. |

| We don't have any known critters except last year warned there could be random coyote at dusk or later on the edge of city but never saw any, though I was ready with my umbrella. When Tibbe potties, I go out with him. When we take a walk, I take cell phone and the umbrella that pops open with a button.
