| I think your dog is 5 months old? Yes, he is going to grow quite a bit more. I doubt that he will double his size but he does have some growing to do. There is just no way to estimate his size without knowing his genetic background. Did you see his parents? There are Yorkies on YT that range from 2lbs to over 20lbs so your dog could end up anywhere in that range. Usually the only way you can kind of estimate your pup's adult size is by getting one from a breeder that has been breeding dog's that are generally the same size for several generations. Even then they can occasionally have one that is bigger or smaller than expected. My Gracie grew in size until she was about 11 months old and then she continued to put on weight very slowly for several months. There are so many variations. Most dogs reach their adult weight at around 12 months or a little after. |

| Ziva was 6 lbs at a year and petite, she weighed 7 at 2 years and started to get a very square solid body (like her dad) She weighs closer to 7 3/4 at 3 yrs. Abby started off so tiny we thought she might be 5-6 lbs max. but once she got enough good food (not fighting 4 siblings for it!) she is 7 1/4 lbs and thin/wirey at 1 year. I figure 8 lbs by 2 years. These pups are a great size for our busy active household. |

| Miss Priss will be 10 months the 24th and weighs about 6 lbs, she hasn't really grown any for the past 2 months..I was surprised with her weight. She felt heavier but she looks very thin, does that make sense?

| Ahi is a lil'bit. Her frame is pretty tiny so I don't think she will gain much either. She is 1 year 2 months old and weighs anywhere from 3lbs. 14oz. to 4lbs. 2oz.

| Weight can depend on bone structure and muscle as much as size. Some puppies continue to develop their muscle and bone mass until after the first birthday. They also put on some fat. |
